Something and nothing at the same time.
Finishing like I do would be a crime.
In the end how much do you learn
When the flame of your consciousness hasn't the will to burn?
How can you see it when your attention is gone?
Leave it to you to finish this song.
But wait, there is most definitely more.
Struggling to swim through the deph of your core.
Seeing that peace, even for a moment,
Wanting it back, to seek consolement.
Then fight yourself with all you possess
To light the flame of your consciousness.
So it could be just as simple as that?
And if it were, just as simple as that
We wouldn't need that free ride back.
The truth is that it's a hard thing to do,
But if you listen real close it talks to you.
Watch and hear with the intent to learn
And maybe, just maybe it'll start to burn.
It makes your mind clear
Of all the things your heart should fear.
They say it comes through the simple thought
Of how you saw and how you fought.
Fought yourself with all you possess,
To light the flame of your consciousness.
