Personality: Maverick is the quieter or the Carlson twins and the least social. He doesn’t like people much, preferring the company of animals. Maverick, however, puts up that cold wall to hide the fact that he is emotionally fragile. It takes him lots of time to be able to trust anyone, because he’s afraid that they’ll eventually betray him. He’s very protective of Fallon.
Bio: Maverick, the younger of the Carlson twins, was born alongside his brother in rural Georgia. Their mother was your average housewife. Their father was a serpent-handler preacher and a religious fanatic. They had a very strict childhood, adhering closely to the Bible and their father’s rules. The boys’ mother was the one they got their gifts from; though meek and obedient, the woman had the ability to control fire. One stormy night when the twins were seven years old, their father discovered their mother’s powers. He dragged her out into the forest surrounding their rural home and, with the help of a few of his equally fanatical friends, they hung her for the “crime” of witchcraft. The twins were forced to watch. However, just before she died, a bolt of lightning struck a tree, setting it aflame, and their mother was able to whip the flames into a huge wildfire that killed her murderers and spared her children. Orphans since then, the twins were shuffled from foster home to foster home before being adopted by a Texan rancher and his wife.

Personality: Fallon is much more outgoing and social than his brother. He is always willing to help a strange or make a new friend. He is very protective of Maverick due to his brother’s emotionally fragile state, and tends to hit first, ask questions later when his brother or people he loves are threatened. Fallon, like his brother, loves animals and spending time outside, though he also has a knack for technology thanks to his gift.
