It was all darkness, swallowing the entire environment. I couldn't feel emotion or pain. It was full of nothing. Within the next moment my eyes started to twitch as a burst of sunlight burned my eyes. I squinted trying to keep the sunlight from blinding my new eyes. I've never experienced daylight before. After opening and closing my eyes slowly pulling them open; my eyes greeted the light as if it were family reuniting with one another. I tried moving my arms but didn't understand how to use them. Slowly, with all my might I made it twitch and little by little I gained full use of my arms and my legs later on. Greeting the new life I have encountered I gave a weak smile (still trying to learn the muscles) and closed my eyes ready for a nap. I wiggled my arms and legs so I was curled up into a ball in my mother's arms. I let my eyelids drop and I welcomed the darkness I was so used to.
