Here is that phraise you requested: ((edited so lazy bumms will actually read the rules))
Firstly I wish to thank you for creating such an interesting Guild whom is dedicated to such a worthy-seeming job. While reading your "Code of Conduct" page, I more and more grew interested in not only your guild, but YOU yourself. You seem like an intelligent and responsable man, who seemed to have organized quite an effective guild for an important cause. Such a man..shoot...such a PERSON through my eyes seems important enough to understand, even admire to a greater degree. I could imagine you are often busy accepting new applications, but I really wish to know more about you, and more importantly your views on various topics. Just a few questions: -What made you think that creating such a guild as "GD Guardians" was important? -Do you believe GD Guardians are really making that much of a difference? -Do you believe that many whom apply, then "Guard" the GD thread are following the "Rules of Conduct", or are they simply showing off their "GD Banners" in an attempt to "strengthen" their stance on topics, intimidating others so to encourage them not to respond? Unfortunately I have seen many GD Guardians handle inappropriate posts in the way not desired through the code of conduct. Are the average of "13 year olds" really responsable, and mature enough to handle the average GD "mis-threads"?
Now a little about me, I personally believe a certain "Order" must be brought to GD Threads, because the audience who enters GD are wishing to have a semi-important and serious disscussion, without "Trolls", or n00bs mucking the experience up with nonsensical filth. That is afterall what the GD forum is about, right? Although I do enjoy creating...even promoting chaos in many forums, I believe this should be appliable in accordance with who it is directed towards. Even through "satire" can a lesson be taught, infact..satire is the best means of "lessening" the value of an unadmirable value all together. Illustrating to people why something is wrong, is the best means of teaching.
Also, if I get accepted..I wish to not recieve a "Sig. Banner", for I feel it is through the heart of the "warrior" which lusts for unrewarded justice that one can truely be a great "GD Guardian". The only reward to me would be that the thread has been sent to it's appropriate place, and it's author be informed for the reason why it was moved in the first place, so such a problem would be less likely to occur again. I really wish to be a "teacher" rather than a guardian. One Gaian at a time I guess.
May I offer another "skill" as I will call it, that might help make a "better" GD Guardian? Informing a moderator is simple enough, true, but maybe a "GDG" should PM the author of the "innapropriate Thread" to why creating that thread in GD was wrong. This way, the thread author was informed where the creation of many future "Inappropriate Threads" can be reduced, but to also make it so the Guardian doesn't bump the thread through posting in it. Much of what past GDGs have said in posts could easially have been said through PMs instead..without the "Bumping" side-effect.
FInally, although I spoke poorly of "GDG Banner aquirance in anyone's signature"...I would actually like to offer a FREE SIG BANNER to be used. sweatdrop &irony is so cruel... If I get accepted, I will post further detail in that "Sig Forum", or through future PMs.
One final thing, I recall you saying that GD Guardians are not special, and should not be held to a level such as "Warrior, whom battles the evils of incorrect GD Thread creating((well you spoke along those lines somewhere in there.))...but is not helping the "common" through such acts not "Warrior-like"? I believe GDGers are very much like warriors, more like Samurai..suffering through hardships((learning all the rules, abiding by them and dealing with immature geeks)), and doing what is right simply because doing it is right, without rewards or phraise.
Thanks, and sorry for making this PM huge, I bet you have alot of other applications to deal with and this rather large one is full of info you already know, and really could'nt care less about when hearing it from someone else. That is how I feel about some things people talk about when I am conversing with them. Well, cya.
((In relation to my promice to GD-G))
<center> <pre>ROUND'S PROMICE TO GD-GUARDIANS </pre> </center> <center>"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all." -God according to Matt Greoning</center>
---This bit of unusually origined philosophy proves to be one of the most important ones for myself in relation to this Guild, and how I will proceed in applying to the guild. Take care not to confuse me as worhty of such a profile as below: "Woah...this chick is saying its right not to do anything when it comes to GD-G..making her most definitely a 'Banner Whore'((slang created by me..someone whom is a banner whore does something solely to possess it's admired label that comes with it..in this case the GD-G banners)) "..that is not what it means to me.
What it does mean, is I as a GD-Ger have a responsability to serve and maintain the GD forum, in a secretive manner..thus have my "actions" phraised over "my Image as a GD-Ger". I feel an appropriate way of doing this is to simply not have a GD-G banner in my signature so as to not inform the masses of who I am. For I do not want to be known as a GD-Ger, but just a "person" whom helps maintain the GD forum.
I believe in cleaning up the GD forum, the best and only reward I should recieve is that the Forum is cleaned and maintained. Although many GD-Gers are exceptions, I believe many future and present GD-Gs will join GD-G simply for a "signature of power", straying away from the original intention of the Guild. I believe this, because I understand that all persons search for ways to appear more powerful than they actually are. With that power, they soon grow stale and coorupted. It is an unavoidable rule, if anyone was to rise to a high enough level of power, they will become coorupted. I say "all" in including myself as well. All the more reason why I protest in using a banner. I also hope that in stating this, that to a mild degree, I make some sort of impression on others whom might unwillingly be leaning towards this path of corruption, and can at least think about it, prolonging the effect until later and thus consentraiting more on cleaning the GD Forum.
I recall Zahid speaking of the GD-Gers not as "Warriors", bot of a different statues of collected interest-based individuals working to make the GD Forum better. But what I ask is this.. Is being a GD-Guardian not alot alike being a warrior? Are we not rising to a level of responsability towards the GD thread where we take such actions worthy of "heroism"? I believe us as GD-Gers ARE something a bit more than most other people..not much..not much at all, but our dedication for order in the GD Forum where others maynot dedicate has automatically boost us up to a certain degree, mind wise. Others would much rather flame incorrect threads, while we responsably re-direct them in hoping those who see through our example will learn and work to not make the same mistake again. Not necessarially GD-Gers alone, but ANY person whom handles wrongfully created threads in this way MUST be something more, and their example...not themself, is worth admeration over the norm. What I have come to understand is many believe such admeration in one's self will lead them to that eventual cooruption that I spoke about earlier...and indeed it will. But may I offer an example of one power source that for a time strayed away from such corruption even when it seemed right to be corrupted? Let this be a reasonable explination of the type of GD-Ger I wish to be, as well as others. I give you the early Samurai! According to the book "Code of the Samurai":
"The position of the Samurai is indeed an honorable position to have, but be forthwarn..for your power is only directly porportional to the masses that will allow you to keep it. If at any time you as a Samurai abuse your status of power, then not even the sharpest sword, or the strongest mallet can protect you from the people whom you thought served you! Because of this, it is important to understand that its the fighting masses that will always have power, and if you hope to remain at such a higher level of admeration, do not abuse your power hence anger the masses. Understand that you are above them in position, but not in power. Show then this by doing everything a responsable Samurai might do, be kind to others and be intelligent. Set an example for others, and do not give in to lust and greed..especially when it seems like it is the only way an outcome will occur. Have honor in yourself, and honor in the people/masters you must serve. Be the way of the Samurai."
Quite long I do admit, but it best illustrates my belief in how GD-Gers should properly hold themselves..as well as I will hold myself. Understand that being a GD-Ger is not for the reward of self admeration, but in correcting that which has become a horrable epidemic in the GD Forum...a slow and unfortunate transformation into a "Serious" Chatterbox. One final note, I will answer any questions that might appear in the heads of those whom actually read this long post explaining my thought and position of and in the GD-Guardian Guild:
deep in the back of your mind "Wow, that sure is a big post. You must really love to hear yourself talk." stare
I believe the ability to talk alot is much better than the ability to not talk at all. Indeed I will admit I do like to hear myself talk..I am a selfish and overly self-absorbed b***h of a person, who believes she owes something to the world, and without her things might get worst. I also believe that one cannot become important if they do not BELIEVE and ACT OUT in such that way. I am happy to atleast admit these flaws/strengths, and I have come to accept them. Its a long road to "perfection", someone's gotta start running. neutral
deep in the back of your mind Did we really need to know all THAT about you? If you actually are who you say you are, then simply do it without saying you will. I'm pretty sure the Samurai didn't "blab" about their position of power all around for everyone to hear.
Funny enough, the Samurai didn't have to..their position as a Samurai..and the "Responsable and Honor" label of admeration through years of actions and developed status did all the "blabbing" for them. Most of what I posted above is not only so other GD-Gers can better understand me, as well as unconsiously question their stance in GD-G..but also so I can better understand "myself", and where I stand as a GD-G. I find typing alot about something helps best define who I am, and help me strive to be what I want to be. If you choose to not "take in anything" from this post((whatever that is suppose to mean)), then simply stop reading and ignore me all together. This is for me..I could care less what others think about me, and you can choose if its for you as well. Also, I will admit that I am taking this stance as a "GD-G" for SELFISH reasons, just not the normal kind of selfishness. Its through this post that I have made a "Goal" of whom I want to be, and will work to achieve that goal status in my mind. I selfishly am using the GD-G to boost my confidence and appreication for who I am..BUT in the process, being exactly who I want to be will benefit all users in GD all together! The cleaning of GD, and the correct thread placement so GD becomes a better thread all together is my "boost in confidence", making me feel a bit more important than what I really am, as well as adding alot more to this status then what needs to be added. Part of this is also straying away from becoming coorupt myself. So feel happy in knowing that I won't be "weilding my sword of bashing power" around anytime soon, because it would go against the image I wanted to achieve. The reward of achieving my projected image is much greater to me than the power given by being a GD-Ger. And is that not good for everyone, more importantly myself?
deep in the back of your mind Whats up with this question section? You think you know more than everyone? neutral
If you came to that conclusion just by a simple section, then I guess YOUR the one verifying my answer for me. Although I do not know everything, I do know alot about society roles and patters, economics and "worth", and psychology in general. I am not a smart female, my math is atrotious..as well as my spelling. sweatdrop But I try, thank you for taking notice of my "wisdom" as I call it, for D&D teaches us that there is a difference between wisdom and intelligence.
deep in the back of your mind Tsk tsk...Lots of "rambling" in there...it seems at times you go off into other things that have nothing to do with GD-G...explain this sweetheart?
Yeah, there really isin't much to explain..as I type I think. Anything far from being important or on topic was deleted through a second revising of this all. Just bear with me, or just ignore my post. In all actuality this wasn't made for you, but more for me. Everything worth believing in has connections to other things that might seem unrelated. I just wanted to put all my cards on the table, thats all. sweatdrop sweatdrop
deep in the back of your mind Wait a second, first you state that you don't want to be "labeled" as a GD Guardian AND that we mustn't think of ourselves as anything higher..yet you then go off and compare GD-Guardians to the POWERFUL SAMURAI?!! Do I small a contradiction there? Aren't you being a bit hypocritical? stare stare
I would agree normally, but as you read in that "Code of the Samurai" part of the post, a "good" Samurai has such features that made him powerful in statue, but not in beilieving that he is powerful over everyone else. Really my intention was to illustrate the importance of "Knowing you are somthing bigger than the norm, as well as be proud that you are this way...but not to abuse that power and grow coorupt, contrary to the intentions of the GD Guardians". Lets face it we are going to hold ourselves higher because of GD Guardians, its human nature..I just wanted to offer a mind frame where you can satisfy this belief of power, while at the same time not grow coorupt because of it. The Samurai was just an easy way to illustrate this.
deep in the back of your mind SO...you got boobies, eh? neutral heart
sweatdrop Yes...they are round and subtle...I like them very much. I also like my v****a..you wanna see?((just kidding...sorry. sweatdrop )) domokun
I like Animation and Creativity all together. I admire the variety of soldier((samurai, knight, WWII Soldiers and the bit)), and the type of person whom being one makes you. Responsablility for one's self and respect for others you love are two very important qualities of mine. DDR keeps me relatively skinny..relatively. sweatdrop I am between Standard mode and Heavy mode. Appreciation for one's self and a love of who you want to be is always admired. Confidence all around is a great quality in any person. Besides using the internet as a creative outlet..I possess no other real form of life. Not untl a year from now when I get shipped off into the NAVY. I am an HM..a nurse/medic. heart
I want my actions therefore to be celebrated, instead of the celebration of myself. Its through behind the scenes accomplishments that the true and right reward can show itself. I also offer others to take part of this particular type of GD-Guardian stance, where no explination of who you are is located in your sig, and you are a GD-Ger simply to satisfy yourself through satisfying others in GD by cleaning it up without any rewards or phraise of one's self.
When we've done things right, people won't be sure we've done anything at all.

Girl Anachronism It was decent. And way over-rated.
I must disagree, Fight Club is quite possibly the most UNDER-RATED movie of all time. They didn't even make HALF of what they predicted they would make at the box office. Fight Club is more than just another movie of "Tough little men fighting in their mommies basement like big stupid gorillas"..it was much more than that. The movie brought to attention many important topics that have recently stumbled it's way into American Society. One being of the modern role of man! Men of today's society has been raised under the thumb of women. Although the way a women might be is not a bad thing, for women...it simply cannot work for men! Men need to explore, get themselves in senseless danger, feel like they need to save something, and overcome any possible problems directly and firmly with a fist of power..and a mind of intelligence and wisdom. Instead men are taught to suppress these feelings they have so as to not appear what women would call "Barbaric". They are tought that its through "materialistic" things that a higher form of happiness and "worth" can be achieved. Do not tell me women are not like this, just look at how many shoes are in our closet's..one for every occasion, right? Men look at those same shoes, and think, "Why would I need olive green-colored boots to shovel dirt?"..and they are right in questioning that, for they do not need them! Men and women are completely different, and whether we belive this "change" in men is right or wrong, it is still causing many men to be confused with how to deal with these urges they were born, and has evolved for many years with. Fight Club directly illustrates this point with "Jack" ((as I will call him...you know..the narorrator?)), who was born without his father's guidance. He endures this absence of a father figure by "creating" one at a very young age. Even then he was talking to imaginary friends..its no surprise how he as so free in illustrating a convincing enviromnemt with Tyler. Jack as he called it, became a "slave to the Icea nesting ground", where he bought furniture that he didn't really need for reasons that are completely fiction. Dependant on Corporations and their products to be "happy". Can one truely be happy by owning the nicest stuff? All that proves is you have "foreskin" on a d**k that still gets the job done((sorry for THAT use of symbolism)). He worked at a job he hated dearly, he all throughout his life told what he must do..and one day, he found a way out through the one representation of everything he wishes he could be, but couldn't aquire on his own. He wanted to be strong, he wanted to be intellignet, he wanted to be important. He wanted to ba a man..he wanted to be Tyler Durden. And so he did change, quite well if I do say so myself. He also brought back what this generation of men have been looking for but was never taught. He got into random fights with them, he encouraged them to create chaos because its only through a time frame of momentary chaos that people will rebuild..and real change can then occur. He gave men a purpose again, THE MAN was a liberator! A re-affermination back to neutrality and normality. He was, in my eyes, god like! eek
The movie also tackles other topics, most specific what happens when a generation of men are raised by women. One other topic includes just how ******** some people are out there, Jack's actions without actually being aware of them for example((although I admire his actions, the basis of him not knowing he was doing them is pretty scary! Imagine all the things YOU might be doing without realizing them! eek )). It questions status, and a variety of psychological-related instances that occur within our own mind, and how we express/deal with them outwardly.
I must say, Fight Club is by far my most favorite movie of all time. I am shocked at how UNDER-RATED it was even out on video. I can safely say that the two major reasons why people talk poorly of Fight Club is either because they can't possibly understand HOW to think that deeply with the material given, because they never had to. OR because they ALL TOO WELL know what Fight Club is about, AND FEAR what it might do to others, which in return go against this individual's basis and beliefs((I found a majority of these are extremely liberal women who want every man to succumb to their wishes and act as they want them to act confortably for them. It is NEVER right for a man, or women to try to change someone for who they are just for their own benefits. Although it may seem like I am attempting such a feat, I am actually trying to explain why Fight Club is such a great movie..how it was under-rated instead of the latter..and to reckonize the deeper meaning behind the bare-chested punches to the more important answer relating to "Why they are punching". ANy conclusions drawn that lead you to believe I am hypocritical in my statement in bold above is completely unintended, and simply wrong.)).
And I will say that the book is ALOT better. Deals more indept with the whole "Consequences of men raised by women"-thing societally, and the imagry Chuck goes into is magnificent in general.
Well...that is all I really have to say about Fight Club without "overdoing" it...and trust me, the above is in no way overdone compared to how deep I can actually go. To all who has yet to see the movie, WATCH it..it is a magnificently made movie. You will be happy you saw it, I promice. heart
OH YEAH!!! Go here for the funniest webcomic I have seen yet!!! xd heart :::
