Stuff Of Randomness
You see before you my own notes. Most likely, it means nothing to you and half the time it probably means nothing to me either but all the same there something in this Journal.
"I called you both here for a reason. I'll brief you on it quickly because the time clock is ticking but a top secret document has been stolen from us. One of our top agents turned out to be a spy and now has ran off with very important information of the US. I'm assigning you to this mission," the vice president informed the two men. The seriousness of this case was evident in his violet eyes.

"And why can't you send the FBI after this criminal?" the short blond haired man asked. His green his didn't move from the vice president.

"You see Agent Kirkland, the criminal has escaped to a place that the FBI can't reach. We trust you and Agent Bonnefoy not to expose any information on this case," the vice president added.

"Ah, that's probably because Kirkland here has no one to tell. Am I right?" the third man in the room said with a teasing smile on his face as he looked at his partner. Kirkland blushed as he turned away, trying keep from showing his embarrassment of not being the most known man in the company.

"Whatever the reason, we trust you with some of the equipment that you will need for this mission and that you will make it back here with the documents safe along with our precious history unscratched too." As the vice president continued, he pulled out a brief case. Inside were two watches that looked ordinary at first but when the two agents took a deeper look, the watch did everything but tell time.

"We'll make it back here with the documents, Vice President Williams. Don't worry," Kirkland said as he nodded to his partner. They put the watches on their wrists.

"Thank you. The watches are already programmed with where we think the criminal escaped to. It is very possible that he doesn't stay in the same era but travels to another to make sure he is safe. If that happens, all you'll need to do is put the desired date into your watches - there's a dial on the side of them - and wait a second for it to jump you there. Agent Kirkland, Agent Bonnefoy, you're America's last hope. Do not let these documents get into the wrong hands," Williams said as he stepped and watched the agents disappear from his sight.
--------------------------------
"Will you get off of me?" shouted Kirkland when things became clear for the two. Forest surrounded them on one side while the ocean on their other. Though, that was not the first thing Agent Kirkland noticed. Instead, he felt a person on top of him and the blond, wavy hair of his partner in his face gave him an idea who was on top of him. His partner only laughed at him as he got his feet, offering hand to help him up. "Where are we anyhow?"

"Hm? Looks like we're back in the early 1500s or late 1400s."

"How do you know this?" Kirkland asked, astonished by his partner's observations.

"That's what my watch says at least. It looks like 1492 - 1763 that we're in right now. Plus, those boats docking give me a pretty good idea of what is going on, Arthur," he explained to his partner.

Arthur Kirkland nodded his head as he gestured for the other to follow him. Their best bet of where this criminal would be at would be with other people. They crept like ninjas through the forest before getting in earshot of the crew and its captain.

"Is this what you asked for Christopher Columbus?" a sailor asked, running up to the man on shore with a note book. "I'm glad we finally reached India."

"Yes, that's the diary I wanted Antonio. Thank you," the explorer known as Christopher Columbus said to his crew mate before he happily disappeared on deck again.

It was evident that both agents were surprised by where they had been dropped off at.They both knew their history but still, they hadn't expected to run into this legendary explorer. It was necessary to snap out of it because they were wasting time. "Francis, do you see any signs of our criminal? This crew is looks like a typical one for this time."

"There's shoe prints on the beach, but it's safe to say that he's not here anymore. Where should we try next? The Revolution?" Francis Bonnefoy asked his partner after turning away from the scene. The longer they stayed put the more of a risk they had for messing up the history of the United States.

"I rather not...appear then, if you don't mind Francis. That era would be a good idea to appear in but...let's not check out a war scene. It'll be far too dangerous I would think," Arthur explained. His skin paled at the idea of ending up in the middle of a war. He knew that there was a good chance he'll end up in a war but that was better saved for later. "The...er...tea party then?"

"Yes, that would be safe," Francis said as he turned the dial on his watch to the date. He waited for a moment before their figures in the tree line were merely a moment of confusion on one of the sailor's faces.
