Ch. 1 The Story
Part 1 The Templar of the Flame
Part 1 The Templar of the Flame
It was a frosty cold night, and the winds blew vigorously, whistling a great call of warning to all that should be within their grasp this unfortunate night.
An old Tavern was bustling with noise, for many had come here tonight seeking shelter from the cruel winds and the downpoaring rains. Chatter filled the room like the buzzing of bees within their hive, and no one was out of place here, save for a small gang of bandits sitting in the far corner. They had just previously made the biggest loot of their career, and were now starch freaking rich. They yelled and laughed at one another, exchangin beers and gettig wildly drunk.
"Hey, ol' man! Get us s'more drinks! We have a lot ta munneh!" He was talking about the innkeeper, with his voice slightly disorientated by the extreme amounts of alchohol. The innkeeper could only nod and keep filling mugs, and handing them to his daughter to bring over to the Bandits. The bandits, being their devious selves, exchanged heinous grins at one another as the Innkeeper's daughter came over with their drinks. Right as she held them out to set them on the table, the closest bandit pulled out his foot, and tripped her. The mugs of beer fell from her hands, and with a glass shattering crash, they were all over the floor.
The Badnit spoke out now. "Aww! Come on now girl! You spilled our drinks!" He pulled out a knife from his shoulder strap, and held it to his face, licking the blade, murder intent in his eyes. "What do you think we should do Jenkins?"
A rather stout and highly muscular man grinned, and as if he was thinking, he rubbed his chin, then snapped his fingers. "She has to do something to make up for the mess she caused.... Heh heh heh."
All of the bandits joined in with the laughter, but the girl only stared at them with horror, and shrank backwards.
The innkeeper rushed up. "Please! It was just an accident! Your drinks willl be on the h-" He was cut off suddenly when the badnit threw his knife, and it hit him dead on in the shoulder. He flinched, and grabbed his shoulder in pain, putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding.
"Quiet old man!" He pulled out another dagger and held it up. "So... where were we... yes, thats right." He pointed the dagger at the head of the innkeeper's daughter. "For disrupting us, we'll use you as a target practice!!" He pulled back his arm to fling the blade, and then......
BOOM!
The double doors of the Tavern burst open, letting a cold wind run through the room. A man stood in front of the doorway, completely covered in a long cape, with a hood at the top, which hid his face. Lightning struck somewher far off, and light entered the room through the open doorway, revealing the red tint of the man's cloak. All eyes were upon him now. He walked into the inn, each step echoing through the inn. He looked up from the hood, his face still hidden within. He gazed from the badnit with the dagger aiming at the women's head, and the Innkeeper sulking in pain on the floor.
The badnit yelled out now. "Hey! Who you think you are, just bursting into here like that?"
The red figure ignored him, and spoke now. "Where...... is... Sietkhan?"
The badnit became overly annoyed, and stood up out of his seat. "Look boy, you don't just come waltzing in and asking questions, thats what we do. Do you know who we are? We're not just your everyday bandits, we are King Sietkhan's elite henchman!"
The red figure became uninterested, and turned away to leave.
"Hey! Don't turn your back on us!" Growing angry, the badnit jumped out of his seat and ran at him, raising his knife to his back. "Die!"
The red figure quickly turned around, and from within his cloak, his arm shot up and grabbed the man by his neck, and broke it in one snap.
"JENKINS!" The other badnits soon stood up and drew their swords and surrounded him. He ducked a swing to his head, which swiped the tip of his hood, and it fell back, revealing his head with the unnatural spiky blonde hair. Sevath grinned. "You shouldn't have done that."
He raised his arm, and snapped his fingers. Fire erupted from around him, and the badnits flew back, all burned to nothing left but corpses.
The Innkeeper and his duahgter were watching this whole time, wide mouthed. "Uu...Uuhh... I cannot believe it! A man, dressed in all red, and able to summon flames from will. There is no doubt about it. I-it, it is the legendary Sevath! The Templar of the Flame!"
