I'm mostly a Nintendo fan so most of the games I play are for the Wii or Gamecube. I'm also the kind of person that never sells the games once I beat them even if they're crappy games... I don't buy games that are based off of movies either.
I like playing online games too, but for MMORPGs I quickly grow tired of them because I'm always trying to level up my character...
Collecting
I'm not very fond of games where you have to collect a certain item in order to proceed through the game, titles that i have played that are like this is Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly and Mario Sunshine (I have not beaten either of the two). I don't remember much of Spyro because it was rented a long time ago, but Mario Sunshine was okay considering that you didn't have to get all of the shine sprites in order to fight Bowser. I could never get to Bowser because I sucked at crossing the lava on a boat that burns up too quickly... But that's another story. sweatdrop In Mario Sunshine the levels were relatively easy to get the sprites, but some levels were just impossible for me to beat so I'm sure I would never get as many shine sprites as I could possibly get in that game. I guess that's where my OCDness kicks in because I really want to collect everything so I can feel satisfied that I played it all the way through.
I just don't like collecting things unless if it's in an MMORPG.

One game that I played years ago that I finally bought for myself recently was Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. It's got the same concept of collecting things in order to proceed through the game, but despite me not liking to collect things unless if it's in an MMORPG, I like this game a lot. I don't know what it is, maybe that they actually put more thought into the plot than in Mario Sunshine (definitely more dialogue wink ), but from what I remember it's a lot like Spyro where there is a lot of what you're trying to collect all over the place. Seems relatively easy at first, but as you progress through the game it gets kind of harder to collect them. I don't think I have to collect all of them to beat the game (which is a bittersweet feeling for me), but despite having to collect things to get anywhere, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is a pretty fun game to play.
