I was released today. Jessamine says I have a clean bill of health and I can go right back to my Hunter duties. I was so relieved when I finally left the hospital. I couldn't stand another day under Jessamine's care. Sure, she was my sister...but you would think she would treat me like I was her big sister...not just another patient she could care less about. Maybe she hasn't forgiven me for what I did when the virus first hit. I wouldn't blame her...I mean, I really haven't even forgiven myself yet. I hope she gets over it soon, and realizes that I did what I had to do in order to survive. That's what Axton says makes me such a good Hunter. I do whatever is necessary. "Let me see the scar, " was the first thing he said to me...after making sure I was okay, of course. I lifted my shirt up enough so he could see the scar forming just over my hip. It was a small circle, the size of the bullet. "Did she let you keep the bullet?" Axton asked. I rolled my eyes. Typical. "She really didn't even talk to me at all, Axton." "I see," He said, suddenly serious, "Well it's her loss, right?" I nodded. "Right." Axton took me down to the cafeteria, run by the Basics, and sat down with some tomato soup. The meal for today. We ate in a comfortable silence, went down to the training room, and exercised, swam, and practiced firearms. By the time we were done, it was time for my exterior patrol, in which nothing happened. -Vi
