(This is a short story that I wrote in school during a class assignment... Hope you like it!)

Everywhere, there was dust. Dust and dirt. Dirt on the ground... dust in my eyes... Crowding in my hooves and sticking to my mane. My shoes made a clop, clop, clopping sound on the ground, and yet, on that dust back road in Texas, it seemed like the world was silent. The silence was soon broken when famer Black,
my-what he liked to call- "owner" stopped and said,"Well old girl," HEY! I'm not old!, "this looks like our final chapter." He was in reference to the fact that he was going to try to break me in today. He'd try this before but only ended in a broken arm. That's because no one can break me. I belong to the wild. But ever persistant, he was trying once again, only this time, HE wasn't going to break me. He put up signs all over town reading "WANTED: ALL MEN BRAVE ENOUGH TO TAKE ON MY HORSE. ANY AND ALL COWBOYS WELCOME!" He figured I was stupid and didn't know what was going to happen. I wasn't. I knew he was going to try to sell me to some bratty little girl in some place called Englad.... Enland.... Eggland? Anways, I was getting sold and I wouldn't stand for that! My thoughts were broken as he shoved me into a two fence place attached to the coral, tacked me up, and waited for the first chalenger. The person who came was a famous cowboy... ok, so I didn't actually know if he was famous, or even a cowboy... but he looked like it! A mean look, short red hair, a cowboy hat, and worst of all: spurs. Definatly a cowboy. He saddled up as the countdown began. The gate hadn't even opened and he was already jabbing his spurs into me! I wasn't just gonna let him do that to me! I rared up and busted the gate down. If that cowboy wanted a rodeo, I'd give it to him! I ran to the farthest end of the coral and rared up on my hind legs, so hard and so fast the he hit his head on my neck and lost control of the reigns! Taking advantage of the moment, I kicked up and knocked him right off my back! He went flying over the edge of the coral and hit the stands. I noticed some more cowboys had arrived so I, once aain, took advantage of the moment and pranced around the ring, just to show them who's boss! THen I stopped, looked famer Black straight in the eye and looked at him like,"Ok, who's next?"
