Lance VS Wrath - The Internal Struggle (Part 1)
Lance was straining himself, trying to push his way into his mind. The pulse waves of hate and anger were making things rather difficult. With a final charge, he broke through and was left with a falling sensation as it felt like he was plummeting. Closing his eyes, he focused on trying to gain some margin of control. Keep calm. Keep. Calm. This is just a way to keep you distracted. This is your mind. Time to take the fight right to this body snatcher. As he repeated these words to himself, the speed Lance felt himself fall lessened until he felt 'solid' ground beneath his feet. Lance opened his eyes...and saw himself cloaked in a dark, swirling red cloud-like aura.
"I suppose it's safe to assume that you're the one who decided to take my body for a joyride.: he said, eyeing the other being over.
Laughing, the red shrouded version of himself chuckled. Give a mocking bow, he spoke in a voice that was deeper than his own. "The name is Wrath. It's a pleasure to meet my predecessor. Though I have to admit I was expecting...I don't know....a little more."
Laughing, Lance replied "Well I'm sorry I don't meet the standards of someone who stoops to stealing a body when no one's home. That's kind of like a burglar getting upset when the person he's robbing calls the cops. You don't really have the moral high ground. But I'm getting sidetracked. Shall we do this?"
"Oh, please after you."
"Oh. Thank you." With that said he ran forward intent on knocking this creep out of his body, and back to whatever pit he crawled out of. He kicked of the ground and spun his body to kick at Wrath'a head with his heel. As they fought, the previously blank landscape around them gained substance and detail. Eventually they were fighting in the ruins of a massive city.
