Lance vs Wrath - The Internal Struggle (Part 2)
As Lance and Wrath traded blows, it seemed like they were evenly matched. However, something seemed off. As the fight went on Lance felt fatigue started to nibble at him. His attacks were losing some of their force, or were off the mark enough that Wrath barely had to move to dodge. Whereas Wrath seemed just as strong, and his attacks just as accurate. Lance threw a kick to try throwing him off, but Wrath caught him by the heel, grinning confidently. "Ha! Pathetic. If that's the best you've got, me taking your body is a blessing. There's no way a weakling like you could accomplish anything. It'd be better if you just disappeared." he said, still grinning.
Glaring, Lance shouted "SHUT UP!" Then he spun his body around the caught foot to kick Wrath with his free one. Chuckling, Wrath caught his other one. With a surge of strength, Wrath flipped Lance sideways, spun on his heel and landed a solid powerful kick. The force of the hit launched Lance away, his body ragdolling as it tumbled over the ground and crashed into a ruined building.
Unable to see Lance in the wreckage, Wrath walked forward. "Come on out, Lance. Let's finish this. We both know you can't best me. You're too wea-!" He was cut off as a rock flew at him, which he dodged by tilting his head. Shaking his head in pity, he started to speak when he felt something collide with the back of his head. Turning, he saw the rock he'd dodged and was confused. Another rock flew at him, and he dodged. Again, he got hit with the rock, this time in the ribs. Except this time, he saw what happened. As the rock passed him, it exploded. Not the whole thing, but a small section of it. Just enough to change its trajectory and allow it to shift directions to hit him.
Suddenly more and more rocks soared out of the dilapidated building, until there was a swarm of stones around Wrath. Now they were detonating more than one time, each stone changing direction up to four times. Grunting, Wrath shouted out "Really Lance? Petty tricks? Granted this is mildly impressive, but it's certainly not enough to stop m-oof!" Again he was cut off As a larger stone, this time about the size of a bear slammed into him.
As the rock crashed into a large pile of rubble, Lance walked out of the ruined building, looking rather tired. However, he had a smile on his face. "Heh. How's that, Wrath? I think Round two I goes to me."
However his victory was short lived, as the rubble pile exploded outwards, consuming most of its surroundings, eventually enveloping Lance who was to weary to run.
