Xenos' Daily Log
This journal includes the highly complicated, schitzophrenic thoughts. Not for the light minded. It is a mixture of caffeine, insanity, seriousness, and comedy.
World War II: Southeast Asia
June 29th, 2006: Today I mostly preformed my duties in my base of operations. I had to clean the facilities and eliminate dirt and other foreign objects from the carpeting. The mess hall served a chicken empanadilla and half of an egg roll. I stayed at my workstation mostly, exploring cyberspace as I see fit. I am about to rant about World War II. From memory. Only.

We all know about Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa, but one forgets about the Southeast Asian front that was located in India, Burma (Myanmar), and China. The Japanese had occupied Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and as well as the coastal area of China. They spread into Burma but a daring band of American soldiers lurked in the forests and excelled in Guerilla Warfare. They managed to hold off the Japanese forces, but soon they had to retreat. They came back in 1943 and pushed the Japanese back so they could access the Burma and Ledo roads so they could get supplies into China. Before 1944, C-47 planes had to "hop" over the Himalayans to get China badly needed supplies so to ward off Japan. The flight was dangerous and many aircraft crashed into the snowy peaks of the Himalayans. After American and British engineers occupied the Burma and Ledo roads, they were able to get supplies to China and soon they pushed back Japan out of Southeast Asia. The famous "Flying Tigers" used P-40 planes to do battle over the Chinese skies and they shot down many Japanese fighters with their technologically inferior planes. All of them contributed to the end of the war.
