Let's give this Gaia Journal a try, I never was one to resist the unyielding force of peer pressure. Right now I don't expect to use it much. Hell, I'm down to once a week on my Livejournal. But at least I can tell my grandchildren about the day (more like night) I got bored enough to try out the new Journal feature on Gaia Online, which by then will have transformed into a giant entertainment conglomeration which owns 53% of Canada and all of Guam. That way we can all call the residents of former-Guam "Gaians," since nobody knows what to call them now. Guambats? The Guamish? Guami Bears?

Well, the relatives who were supposed to visit last night didn't arrive until today. There was my great Uncle Elmer, who was a Subchaser during doubleyou-doubleyou eye-eye and his wife Carmen, stopping by on the way to a Subchasers reunion. Driving them was my mom's cousin George, who drove Willie Nelson's tourbus around the US for twenty years. Aunt Sue and Uncle Tom stopped in as well, and Griffin (Slugmonkey) was thrown into the mix. We all ate some chicken and fixin's for lunch and sat around discussing everything from geneology to cell phones to the duties of being a city Treasurer. All in all, a very relaxing day.

I never really liked Livejournal myself, and I only read one. It's filled with rants on fantasy authors and all the mistakes they make, so it's my kind of thing.
