Reader Interest Level Ages 12 and older - younger kids could probably read it, but they'd need a long attention span...

Already a fan of the first book, Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, I read this book on the way home from NJ. I finished it about 1/4 of the way through our connecting flight, and then immediately started to read it again. James Patterson is a masterful storyteller, and there's a reason that The Angel Experiment was on the NY Times Bestseller List for about 2 months.
The series chronicles the story of six kids (Max, Iggy, Nudge, Fang, Gazzy, and Angel) that are 98% human and 2% bird. They're stronger than the average human man, though the oldest is only 14. They're constantly being chased by Erasers, these weird human-wolf combinations, and the main focus of both books is that they are trying to find their parents and save the world.
I can't give too much of the plot away, but let me just say that School's Out - Forever will have you glued to your seat. Glued, I tell you! smile
