This is how Lakiita's fear of birds began:
One day Atemu took Lakiita ((who was at the time 2 or 3 years old)) to the Nile River for a picnic. The whole way there Lakiita was giggling, singing, and babbling on about how happy she was to be with her Otou-san. Atemu merely smiled at her, setting down the blanket. A little while into the picnic, one of Atemu's soldiers called him on account of an emergency. Atemu left Lakiita by the river, promising to return soon. So Lakiita sat there, waiting for her beloved Otou-san to come back. She sat there for five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes, a half and hour, and finally and hour passed with Lakiita still sitting there. The sun was high in the sky and it was growing rather hot, Lakiita finding it harder and harder for her to sit still and wait.
She looked up at the sky and noticed a bird circling above her. She didn't think much of it...until another one joined it, and another, and another. Soon there was about one hundred birds circling Lakiita. The birds suddenly charged down at her and little pup panicked and hid in the basket that had held the food ((Lakiita was only a toddler so she was small and the basket was also reasonably large)). The birds attacked the basket and it slowly began to break. Lakiita was curled up in a ball, crying, screaming, and shaking violently. She kept thinking that she was going to die. Just as the basket was about to fall into complete shreds, Atemu came back and drove the birds away. Lakiita was completely traumatized. After that, she clung closely to Atemu for quite some time and to this day Lakiita has not really recovered all that much.
