The story of an angel who just didn't belong
The End ~5~
Fire roared around Shade without hurting him. The flames didn't even feel hot as he reached out to touch them. He realized what the cause of them was just before the vanished, leaving him on the roof of the school. Across the roof stood a man about his age dressed in a black suit, his raven hair slicked back. "Damien." Shade muttered.
The man turned around, the smallest hint of a smile on his lips. "It's been a while, Lu-"
"I go by Shade now." Shade cut of the man before he could get the name out.
"I'm terribly sorry, Shade. Heh, Shade, it doesn't really fit the kid I knew." Damien's' voice was deep and almost melodic, though it held a sinister note to it.
"The kid you knew grew up, though I see you haven't." Shades' gloved hands clenched tightly in anger. Damien always made him made when they were kids and nothing much had changed with age. "Why are you here!?" Shade demanded, anger rising in his voice.
Damien looked out across the schools courtyard for a moment and sighed. When he was done, he turned to face Shade. "Shade, you can't do this." The sinister note to his voice was gone, replaced by tones of caring. "You want to save that girl, but you know you can't. We were never suppose to read the prophesies. Bad things happen when you try and tamper with fate, you know that better than anyone."
If Damien had more to say, he didn't continue after Shade left a sizable dent in the cement wall from his fist. "It wont be the same as last time, I won't let it."
"Please, Shade, you're being delusional." Damien's' voice was now pleading. It seemed strange hearing such tones come from the devious looking man.
"I'll save her this time!" Shade continued as if Damien wasn't talking. Every word he spoke seemed to send him more and more into an infuriated state. Without hesitation, Damien reached out and ripped the scarf away from Shade.
Immediately, Shade covered his face with his hands, turning from Damien. "I'd think that that alone would be a reminder to you not to get involved."
Shade moved in quickly, bringing his elbow up into Damiens' nose. The crunching of bone didn't stop Shade from prying the scarf from Damiens' hands and wrapping it back around his mouth. Damien wiped a line of blood that ran from his nose away before speaking again. "I think its' about time you told the girl the truth about what is going to happen. Keeping her in the dark this long can't be good. Tell her what happened back then. Tell her about my dad. Tell her all of it."
It was hard to tell because of his hair and the scarf, but Shade glared at Damien hard, but the glare soon turned to sorrow. "You're right. She needs to know."
"Thank you, Shade. Geez, I'm surprised I'm the one telling you what's right. I can't believe that a mutt made me go soft. Things sure have changed."
"I need to go back now." Shade stood there, not making eye contact with Damien.
"Of course." There was another blaze of fire and Shade was gone.

It's been so long since you've written anything..
I kinda forgot what was happening in this story so I had to go back and re-read it.

I like them. I Look forward to you completely doing those 2 from the teasers.
