Unbeknownst to everyone around her, Dana Scully, Special Agent of the FBI, X-Files division, suffers from a rare form of multiple personality syndrome. She will never find a single reference to it in any medical text. There haven’t been any confirmed cases of this disorder in any psychiatric or mental health journal. Even the best psychotherapists would not notice her ailment. Agent Scully, like many others of her kind, is a victim of Television Character Personification Dissociative Disorder also known as Obsessed Fandom’s Impersonation Disease or OFID. And I am of one of her alter-egos. biggrin
I've been impersonating Our lady of Perpetual Skepticism in various on-line forums and roleplaying games for almost four years now, including Gaia Online, and I’d originally toyed with the idea of making this journal a virtual in-character note book detailing the various Gaia special events that I, as Special Agent Dana Scully, along with the rest of the X-Team (long story blaugh ), investigates. However, cute and fun as that would have been, my keyboard has lead me of late to write on more serious subjects, those that fall into a more socio-political vein. I’ve seen and experienced too much without a place to vent my various frustrations, so I’ve chosen instead to let this journal be my sounding board, soap box, Roman forum and rubber room.
Not that I’m not going to occasionally enter a few of Scully’s adventures in the paranormal in here. After all, what’s the fun of claiming multiple personalities if you don’t let them out to play every once in a while? 4laugh *chuckles*
Welcome to my mind. Gather some snacks, pour yourself a drink and settle in. You might just learn something.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q - Why are you mad? A - Lots of reasons, not the least of which is that I pretend to be Dana Scully on a regular basis. And to make things worse, I’ve just admitted it publicly...Oh wait, by mad you mean 'angry' and not 'insane'. Oops. *grins* Well, lots of reasons for mad (as in angry) too. Just keep reading and you’ll understand. wink
Q - Are you really fat? A - Depends on how you’re phrasing that question. Do you mean ‘Am I fat in actuality?’ If so, the answer is yes. If you mean ‘Am I extraordinarily fat,’ well, that depends on how you define ‘extraordinarily fat’. Just think about this for a moment, there are quite a few people who believe Angelina Jolie is tubby enough to take down Tokyo in Godzilla-like fashion ( eek ), and I wouldn’t be able to fit one of my thighs into one of her gowns. See what I mean by definitions? 3nodding
Q - Do you believe the truth is out there? A – Ohhhhh yeah, way, way, waaaaaaaaay out there. whee
Q - You’re not at all normal are you? A - *cough* How do you define normal? stare
