This weekend
Joined a new forum today and a new guild on Gaia, and as much as I admire the rp skills of those already in this guild, their people skills leave much to be desired. Not all mind you, but a select few. The select few I've run into everytime I try to join the RP there. Meh, I don't know why it gets under my skin, but it does. I make, what is imo, a kickass intro, give plenty of time for someone to RP opposite my chars and get completely ignored everytime. I guess I'm just not girly or flirty enough to RP there. Meh, I'd like to think that there are some members there who actually RP with serious RPers, but if there are I haven't had the pleasure to meet any of them yet. I've RPed in their thread in Barton Town several times now, looking for a fight or spar or anything, only to get completely ignored.

Now if they didn't like my RP or had some suggestions even, that would be at least something. Even if they just flamed me, hell I'd appreciate being noticed. I don't like to draw a lot of attention to myself, but at the same time I think I have a subtle way of entering an RP that does leave my char open enough for others to join in. I hate that the really good RP's I've been involved in have died. I'd love to create my own, but I'm in no mood to create an entire RP thread alone with no help.

Besides that frustration (which is only slight) I still don't feel 100% yet from my cold. I miss most of my friends who all seem to be leaving, and I'm too lazy to go hunting for new ones, though I do have a few new friends, but they're rarely on when I am. I'm considering taking a break from Gaia all together, and just working on Cg's, but I'm not sure yet.

More on all this later. *yawns*

I can't say much about the roleplaying. I'm no good at it, and I don't enjoy it. Well, the kind that has rule books and stats seems okay, because it actually has a set of universal rules, not just "whoever uses the most adjectives wins". That what it seems like with roleplaying here, a lot of the time. Of course, if I can help in anyway, let me know. 3nodding

You need some chicken soup. sad Anyway, I'm not going to try and stop you leaving this place if you want to. As long as were able to have conversations somewhere, I don't mind.

Awww Cap'n you know I'd never leave our talks behind ^.^ I just don't have much time for the stuff I wanna do on here. The RP's I like are the ones with a decent amount of rules, and when a n00b comes in trying to wreck it, everyone bands together and kicks them out. I used to be in one of those, but it died because one n00b got his hooks in and shredded it to pieces... meh, ancient history now though. Anyways, you help just by letting me know you care ^.^ *huggles*

Yay. heart

Like I said, I don't know much about idiots coming in and ruining s**t on Gaia. From what I've heard, it sounds like a common occurance. Private guilds stop that from happening, don't they?

Alright, but remember that I'm always willing to help if you need or want it. domokun

Edit: I re-read my post, and realised that I do know about idiots coming in and ruining s**t. I'm usually the idiot.

you are SO not the idiot... and guilds keep in far more idiots than they keep out. It's unavoidable I'm afraid. Those who think highest of themselves end up being the biggest idiots in guilds. Jumping on someone because they're new to the guild without getting to see what kind of person they are first. One girl made that mistake with me yesterday, because she was 'bored'. I think she ended up regreting messing with me. Even if she didn't regret it, I doubt she'll try it again.

In the guilds I'm a mod at I try to welcome everyone and give them a fair shot, even the ones that speak n00bish I will warn politely first. It's those few rare pieces of s**t that continue to be idiots no matter how nice you are to them, that I really go after. They really are less common than you'd think, but most people don't take the time to give everyone a chance first.

And yes I think you've already been there for me a time or two, and didn't realize it. You've been the one person I can tell anything, and not feel all self-conscious or judged. Everyone else I can talk to some things about, and generally have fun with, but you take more time I think, to listen to what's being said. Rather than just trying to come up with some great advice, you are able to just say, you know I don't know what to say, but I'm here to listen anyway. That's the epitome of being a true friend.

How my journal turned into a tribute to the Cap'n I'll never know, but it's a worthy cause nonetheless so, here's to you Cap'n!

I like it when you get aggressive. heart

I'm not much at giving advice, so listening is about all I'm good at. Or reading, whatever. A lot of the time people just want someone to listen to though, so yeah, I don't know where to go from there. "I don't know" is a phrase I use a lot. gonk

Yeah, I've had this tab open for hours, and that's the best reply I can come up with. domokun
