Yay! Music that my player is categorizing as death metal is having a very odd effect on me. I'm becoming exceedingly cheery, all the while listening to "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" and to "Forget", "A Call for Blood", "Smash your Enemies" and other diseased tunes of cheeriness. I feel like jumping up and down and cutting somebody up!
Lol, it's been a very nice weekend. Well, parts of it anyways. I was able to see "Flags of our Fathers" the same day that it was released, and I've got to say that it was one of the goriest and most amazing motion pictures I've ever seen. It was about Iwo Jima. You see a little underground tunnel with a bunch of intestines and dead Japs littered about, and you hear what happened; they have all committed suicide by blowing themselves apart with grenades, rather than be caught by the Yanks. The beginning on the battle is amazing, because all the Japs are in the dug-in shelters, and right as the Americans are walking upon the island, looking around for people, the Japanese wait for us to be right over them, and then they open fire. Everybody is brutally mown down, there are howitzers galore, tanks being blown to hell, and limbs are littered like candy wrappers at a carnival. It's simply insanity. But there's also a really good, I dunno, philosophical aspect to the movie, because it's based around that photo of the flag raising, I'm sure you've all seen it, and it really makes you think.
Other than that, I got to go airsofting with some friends. I had to borrow a gun and shots, but I made every shot count, it was really fun.
So yeah, this was a good weekend. I don't think there's much else that I should be writing, or even much else to write, so yeah.
