So yeah. I saw
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
In concert. That band has been my rock for two years. When they came on stage, there were literally rivers of tears running down my cheeks. I couldn't control myself. We were in the middle by the stage, but it just got too crazy. People passing out left and right, people falling down, people pushing. I just didn't feel all that safe. So I moved more towards the edge. There was still pushing and stuff, but at least I knew I could get out. Well, here's how our day went yesterday:
3:00am - Wake up 3:30am - Leave for Chicago 6:00/6:30 - Arrive in Chicago 6:30 - Get on the Brown Line (Train) 7:00 - Get on Red Line (Subway) 7:30 - Arrive at the House of Blues and get in line. 8:00 - MAD RUSH to get to the doors of the house of blues. I couldn't move my arms I was so squished. 8:30 - Get wristbands. I was one of the first 100 people to get their wristbands! :O How it went was the first 1100 people got wristbands. Then you had to come back at three and get your ticket. The wristbands, we think, were for crowd control. 8:30 to 2:00 - SHOPPING in Chicago. We rode elevators, slept in stores, and had some amazing food. 2:00 - Get back on the Red Line to go to the House of Blues. 2:30 to 3:00 - Wait in line to get tickets. 3:00 - MAD RUSH to get tickets. I was again, one of the first 100 people to get tickets. 3:25 - Get back in line and wait for the doors to open at 6 pm. We made some pretty awesome friends in line. 6:30 - They FINALLY opened the doors after people were chanting for like a half hour. It was so annoying because they would open the doors, and them close them. Just to tick us off. mad 7:45 - The show was supposed to start at 7. But the OPENING ACT started at this time. It pissed me off because, 1. They weren't even that good. 2. They would be like "ARE YOU READY TO HEAR SOME MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE?!" Then the crowd would go "YEAH!!" And then the band would play like, 5 more songs. I seriously wanted to punch that guy. 8:30 - MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE CAME ON STAGE. And that's when the tears came out like there was no tomorrow. xD They were amazing. Gerard gave this speech that I loved. It went a little something like this:
"So, you guys know about this bullshit war that's going on across the world right? And I'm not talking about this war with guns and s**t, I'm taking about this war with EMO'S. Now all you people here, and all the people everywhere else: WE DON'T NEED VIOLENCE TO SOLVE OUR ******** PROBLEMS! You just be your ******** SELF! And don't take anyone's s**t." I started crying after that little episode. It was totally inspirational. Then they played "Give 'Em Hell Kid". They also played songs from their 1st album, their 2nd album, and their current album. I loved every minute of it. The floor was shaking, the seakers were wobbling and I thought they were going to fall. Again, people passing out left and right, crowd surfers, moshing. It was great. 10:30 - Get out of the concert. gonk And head for home. 1:30am - Get home and SLEEP.
I bought the new CD down there as well. This trip, I can assure you was one of MANY MCR concerts I'm going to go to. The only downsides are that 1. The people in front of me were making out NON-STOP. 2. I think I have whip-lash. XD.
Seriously, the concert was amazing. I think it was a difinitive moment of my teenage years.
Since this is a long a** journal entry, I won't write about anything else. XD
I LOVE YOU ALL. JESSSSS
