Important Stuff
Well, I would write about my day, but hey... I didn't do anything.

Instead, I have some important, biased information, and not of the political sort, so breath easy.
First of all, if you listen to that sickly pop music that I constantly hear on the radio on the bus and in Marinovich's room... this needs to stop. Thank you Mr. Mitchell and Rock 96.7 for keeping hope alive. 96.7 and 104.1 seem to be the only stations that feature actual musicians, and as much as I hate Journey AND Slipknot, its better than everything else on the radio. That's why its good to see bands like Green Day, boldly going where no band has gone before and creating the very first punk rock opera, for example, fusing pop punk (with more punk than pop, for which I will be forever grateful, as much as Fugazi would like to disagree) a Who- style concept of the rock opera (Tommy, anyone? I heard MHS did a version). Good for them, though I think Billy Joe Armstrong needs to take off the eyeliner (Good Charlotte killed that quickly) and put the nose ring back. I know he's getting older, but his following of sappy trends is still alive. (and put up a comment if you have Green Day's "Why Blink 182 Will Never Be As Good As Green Day" 'cause I wanna hear it)
Speaking of Blink, I have some new respect for those guys now. I know that lately their albums have become... well... worse, but I have great admiration for the early work, namely "Carousel." Carousel is fast, sloppy, and exciting. Whoever is singing (Is it Mark? Tom's guitar is pretty fancy during the verse, so it'd be tough for him to sing) sounds like Diva doing battle with Bryce (a cat and it's natural enemy, for the unwashed masses), and the tempo is horribly unsteady. But what a fun song to hear and play.
Well, the whole purpose of my entry is to put out the word that no matter who you are, you need to be listening to THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND!!! Seriously, Live at the Fillmore East is what needs to be in your CD player, especially if you play an instrument. You also need to listen to some Gov't Mule, which is like the ABB, but more rock and less blues, even though the Mule has almost the same band members as the ABB.
And lastly, if you like your more mainstream stuff, I'm gonna try not to hold it against you, and I'm gonna recommend Billy Talent. These guys have some great riffs and the musicianship is solid. The singer screams the whole time, but... just listen to "How it Goes."
Okay, that's all from me.
