Exams // Mid-term Man, I ever so much hate exams. Really. I mean, what is the flabbering point? Half this stuff does not even interest me nor will it be useful. Ever. Sigh Right, so I studied a lot on General Linguistics today (Algemene Taalkunde) which is basically the worst thing ever. It is a subject with an identity-crisis. It is a general subject. It is a subject which does not make sense. It is a subject which has a syllabus that ignores the laws of topical consistency. It is a subject which is overly complicated by interior-referencing in said syllabus when it really should not due to irrelevance. It is a subject which repeats itself numerous times in said syllabus. It is taught by the blob. It is hard because blob has no life. Blob has no life because he's only half a blob in reality. Blob is bean-shaped, frustrated and annoying. Blob lives in his imaginary world where his job is actually interesting. Blob fails to impose that world on us. We all hate the blob. Does that guy really think it matters one bit to me whether or not people consider a promise true when you take away...well...life from the speakers? Come on, I mean, that thing was just stupid. To make a promise, for example, you cannot be handicaped. At all. eek Also, if you promise something, you should be able to instantly deliver (theoretically speaking). O_O Face it people, General Linguistics is the subject invented by that one guy who never had a girl and then was cheated on by his cat/dog/'dutch wife'. At least poetry is interesting ^^.

	You forgot to mention the Blob's 'WalterSpots', always present in his classes, although small at first, rapidly growing large, larger than anything I have ever seen. He could use a deodorant :s And a punch in the face for that matter. I have to agree on the poetry though biggrin

	Yes, but then again, even monthly baths would be an improvement. Also, do you guys note how ******** contradictory this syllabus is? And how very very easily you can destroy the opening arguments about animal vs human language? It's all based on vague assumptions. How do they know that animals are not reliant on their surroundings to learn a language? "It sounds a bit weird, but it still makes sounds." Yes, so do bloody humans. Reeeeeeeeeh. I hate this course ^^

	I did notice. Also, I started at the back. I'm not planning on stranding in the first chapter because it's so ****** boring. What I didn't include in my calculations, however, is that the last chapter is ****** boring as well... xd

	Duh, GL is made of bore and lose. It's boring and we lose marks because of it. stare It makes me not the happiest student ever and I honestly think I am not the only one.
