Omega and his family were hard at work setting up for the reunion party that night. They wanted things to be perfect and didn't want to mess things up. Dawn and Trevor were especially set on not messing up the party. They had assigned different tasks to everyone and were hoping that some of the other family members would show up to help. Dawn and Delta would cook and prepare the meals. Anna, Lucky, and Jessica would do the decorations. Trevor would gather all of the necessary suppplies and assist with either decorations or food when he was finished with his first task. Omega and Sigma were to also help their father gather supplies, but they also had to prepare the tables once they were finished after that. That day felt lucky to them as a family of weremoles showed up. Omega and Sigma were happy to see their cousin, Randal, since they loved to extend their claws and compete to see who had the longest. Dawn was relieved that her sister-in-law, Victoria, came to help her out in the kitchen. Trevor was glad to have an extra hand with the supplies, though he felt that he could do it all on his own without the help of Dawn's half-brother, David, or his sons and nephew. Things had been running smoothly that entire day.
The food was excellent and plentiful, yet the quantity continued to grow. There were various types of food such as pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and salads. It seemed that there wasn't a category of food that hadn't been covered yet. Delta was more of a pastry chef and it showed with nnot only the amounts of cakes, pies, and other assorted pastries lining up on her designated food area on the table, but also by the amount of flour and sugar that was sitting on her. Dawn absolutely loved to cook, though she was a little sad that she would be unable to tend to her garden that day. Victoria smiled to Dawn and said that ther e might be time for the garden if they finish early. Indeed, it seemed as if they were already finished as the kitchen was just about flooding with various scents and multitudes of plates covered with food. Delta didn't mind helping her mother and aunt cook because she loved tending to the flowers as well. In a way, it seemed that Delta was just a reincarnation or clone of her mother. Dawn laughed as she looked at Delta and decided that it would be a good time to take a break and check on the others.
Anna and Lucky were busy playing around with streamers, but in their own way, they were helping. Lucky was a bright young infant. He crawled over a little ways and had Anna, who was a bit more of an athlete, throw the streamers to him. She would often throw the streamers over the branch of a tree instead of directly at her twin brother and giggled watching him catch it. He would then throw it back to her and have her do it again. The two giggled the entire time as they decorated tree after tree with streamers. They had changed their little task into a sort of game and they loved every second of it. Jessica laughed lightly as she watched the infants and then began decorating as well using a few of her battle techniques to send streamers flying into places that they needed to be. After awhile, she came to two trees that sat close to one another. She smirked and tied two ends of streamers around her hands and jumped overonto the branch of one tree setting the other end of one of the steamers on the branch before moving onto the other branch and doing the same there. She then walked to the intersecting area of the branches and after making sure that the streamers were stilll tied to her hands, jumped down and began spinning using her infamous drill dive technique to spin a beautiful decoration of streamers that seemed to tie the trees together. She dug out of thee ground and smiled at the red tornado decoration that she had made with the help of the trees. She then heard Lucky and Anna clapping and bowed gracefully to them. She then looked at what the infants had done and smiled as she scooped them up into her arms and kissed them on their cheeks. She then decided that it would be a good time to take a break and find out what the others were up to. They soon ran into Delta and Dawn and began conversing on how their tasks were coming along.
Trevor was singing a cheerful tune as he carried two large crates with him. David looked up at Trevor as he carried a large box which was small compared to the massive crates Trevor carried. Omega, Sigma, and Randal carried smaller boxes that were a bit on the heavy side. Trevor figured that the boys needed to build up their strength and there was no better time than now. The three boys grunted under the weight of the boxes, but continued to keep up with their fathers. After a couple hours of lugging around heavy boxes of items. Trevor smirked and proclaimed that it was time to go gather wood. The remaining four members of the group, now fatigued and sweaty from all of the heavy lifting, groaned and headed off after Trevor to go help him cut down a couple trees and then cut the fallen trees into logs for the fires that would be lit that night. Sigma tried to run off to go do something else, but as soon as he tried to, Trevor grabbed him by the tail and smiled saying that he had eyes in the back of his head. When they arrived at te house, the outer decoration crew stopped them and showed them where to place the crates. Sigma and Randal were all too happy to put the crates down and soon ran off into the forest shouting 'We're free! We're free!!'. Omega tilted his head a little before settig down his crate next to the other two and looking at his father and Uncle David. David placed his crate down as well before running off to catch the two who had ran away. Trevor laughed heartily as he placed his crates beside the others and sat down so that Lucky and Anna could climb onto him.
When the kitchen crew saw the crates, they left the garden and grabbed what they could. They then ran back into the kitchen to finish off the food for the party. Around five hours before the party, the food had been completed and everyone worked to set it all out onto the banquet table. The children smiled to each other as they spoke of games they could play with their cousins and other family members.Omega noticed the grin on Delta's face and ran away knowing what she was thinking. Delta blinked before laughing like her mother and chasing after her beloved brother. The rest watched the two leave and laughed as they watched the chase.
"Now since when did rabbits chase wolves?" Trevor asked between a snort and a laugh.
"When the rabbit's in love with said wolf." Jessica replied to her son's question.
"He should give up before she forces him to. Delta is so much like me. She'll keep trying until he surrenders to her." Dawn said with a wink to Trevor.
The chasing and laughter continued until the sun began to set and the guests began to arrive.
