It had taken a while
to learn how to
but now
she walked the internet on stilts.
Round a fold of her mind
crept a tiny filter -
perched on the corner of her cheek
close to the bone.
She can see chain threats
without reading them
she can hold fear in her eye
and not know it
but she wonders where the filter came from
and
couldn't it just be unnecessary
