Diabetes Lifestyle
My Life and Other Stupid Mistakes
Tomorrow is the Future's Yesterday
Today, I had a terrible day. I didn't think I'd make it, I was furious, I was mad, and then I had an epiphany; No matter what happens today, tonight, I'm going to sleep, and I'll wake up to tomorrow, and no matter what I do tomorrow, at the end of the day, I'm going to sleep, and another day will start.
I realize now how lucky we all are, even without homes and health, simply because we're alive right now. Because we have that ability to wake up and see tomorrow's sunlight. Disabled, diseased, cancerous, elderly: we're all alive, against the odds of life, and we can sleep and wake up tomorrow, we all have that choice. My grandma, until her last moments from breast cancer, enjoyed this freedom,
I have diabetes and every day I wake up to a fresh new start,
I've taken care of mentally disabled people, and they always appreciate the morning.
Life will always find us no matter what, and life includes the good and bad, nothing's perfect, and that's the disappointment of it all, that we can't have that perfection. But so what? Why hide from it? Don't run from the inevitable. Take in the good and bad, live and love and get hurt, and never let it slow you down.
