"Tears"
They come without permission
and fill your eyes with pain.
You try to fight back
but as you do the tears roll down
like blood from an open wound.
You want to scream,
but nothing comes from your lips.
A lump forms inside your chest,
and slowly rises into your throat.
Your eyes burn like fire,
your body cramps up.
Suddenly the pain becomes dominant,
you let go of your pain
and the tears slowly make their way down your face.
