Skorpeyon: The story starts off simply enough. Moons and I had just requested a couple of avatar art pieces from Liz (who's art is in the banner there) and just after that Moons came up with THREE new outfits! She commented that she wanted art of all three! I said that we might as well make an art contest and then she could get even more than just three pictures. God knows we have plenty of letters between the two of us!

So, after tallying everything up, we found over a million worth of spare letters that we'd be willing to give up to get some avatar art. wink Stop on in, take a look at the prizes, and enter! It costs nothing, and you could win a nice prize! whee

Moons Eternity: I'm the one that wanted to start this whole thing. I am woefully lacking in any art of my avvie unless Liz has made it. I love liz's work, but I just need more!
So, I refigured everything out just a few moments ago and well, now seemed as good a time as any to start the contest.
So, have fun, be creative and wacky and chat away with us, we're bored!

Thread Rules:

1. No spamming or advertising here. We will be happy to link to your thread if you would like to exchange links. (see a few posts down.)

2. Everything going on should be within the TOS. But, I'm sure y'all already knew that.

3. Please try to refrain from drawn out "I hope I win [item] because I lost mine so long ago and I really miss it and I want one soo bad!" type of comments. Hoping you win is perfectly fine, but if it feels like you're trying to put a guilt trip on us it can make us NOT want to pick you, unfortunately.

4. Stop in, have fun, talk about anything you want (within the TOS restrictions of course wink ). We certainly don't mind bumps, but please to try to refrain from bumping if people are holding a conversation. It's much more fun if you join in instead!

5. Don't quote the entirety of any of the posts on the front page. It's really a nuisance. Anyone who is already in the thread has most likely read it and it just takes up a bunch of space before your actual post. If you want to quote a portion (if you have a question about something, for example) please JUST quote that portion, not the entire post.

6. We would prefer the artwork PM'd to "Moons - Skorp" instead of posted in the thread. There will be more details about this in the Contest Rules, but the more places it is the more likely it will be read.

Contest Rules (Contest ends June 30th):

1. PM all entries to "Moons - Skorp". The reason for this is that if you post it in the thread we may miss it! If you just want to show it off, it's perfectly fine to do both, but please make sure to PM it as well just in case we don't spot it in the thread. We're really not sure if this thread will move fast or slow once it gets going. Threads on Gaia have been known to add pages upon pages in an hour and it'd be really difficult to sift through it all for every entry!

2. Please do not PM to ask if we received your entry. In all likelyhood we did but haven't logged onto the mule yet to see it. If it doesn't end up on the front page in two days or so then by all means PM the mule and/or Moons Eternity or Skorpeyon to check. It's rare for PM's not to go through, though.

3. Make sure to note what category you are entering! If you don't, we will contact you but if you don't get back to us we will assume the picture is a gift and not part of the contest! Without a category you cannot compete!

4. The prizes and categories MAY be expanded and added to. Main reason this might happen is if someone were to donate something as a prize.

5. ALL artwork in the contest will be considered ours. We do not have to pay any additional cost to display such artwork. We will request permission if we wish to use it for any reason OTHER than simple display purposes (such as the banner for this contest which required editing of the original picture).

6. At the end of the contest, Skorpeyon will give an additional 5,000g to the winner of each category if they are willing to provide him with a high-resolution copy of the winning artwork. This high resolution file would only be used to make a print for personal use and for no other purpose. This is not a requirement of the contest and will not increase your chances of winning.

7. You can only win one prize.

8. The contest end date is June 30th, 2007!**

Moons (I just wanted to make a note- You'll see that my avvie changes hair as you look at the avatars I have up. The long hair, or the pulled up hair can be used for any of the avatars (unless they have elemental hair). So, any with long hair can have the hair pulled up and vice versa ^_^)

Skorp (Small note for me, in the avatar with the fire wings and the demonbow, please consider those to be one item, with the fiery wings being an extension of the demonbow and not just happening to layer near each other.)

Amendments
Moons here!
An update on April 1, 2007-
Skorp and I have spoken and we have decided to extend the contest out 2 months. This is due to a delay in the time I was supposed to be moving. I was supposed to be moved out of my current location by April 30, 2007. Skorp and I were going to go over all the entries together and make our choices. We want to be able to do this while we are both physically able to sit down together and talk everything out.
We're sorry for any troubles this may cause anyone. But it does give everyone more time to get things done ^_^
