CONTEST DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED.
I have also changed the limit of submissions to four, instead of two.
The Attire Information (under drawing) has been modified, so that people can be a lot more creative with my character's outfit. If you have any questions, you can PM me and ask.

Alright, so this is my very first art contest -- and possibly my last. I'm poor, and the least I can offer are some of my most valuable items, such as the Staff of Angels for the top prize. Me and my companion are about to start out a new one/one roleplay, and I think it would be a nice opportunity to hold an art contest.

Basically, I'd like you to draw my elf character (another category will be added later). So if you're still interested, please read on. Please excuse the monotonous appearance of my thread. <-- Lazy.

Eh, pretty much the Gaia ToS. Other than that:
1. No flaming or art bashing.
2. Respect one another.
3. *New* There shall be no self-pity, or something like that. I do not want my guilt factor to be tested, either. I do not want to see sore losers when this contest ends.
4. Oh, and no art theft. How could have I forgotten that rule?

Contest Rules
Read carefully!


1. Contestants may submit up to four entries, max.
2. All mediums are accepted, whether it is traditional or digital, colored or lineart. Colored art is muchly preferred.
3. No chibi/super-deformed/pixel doll art, please.
4. All styles of art is accepted (except from those of rule #3).
5. You must include the character's name (Reva, or even her full name -- her information's in the next post) somewhere in your drawing.
6. Nothing over PG-13.
7. Your art must be original works of art. I do not want to see modifications of another artist's art, or anything of the like.
8. Post submissions on this thread. DO NOT PM ME. If I seem to have missed it, then repost the submission. Be patient.

Nice and simple, but pay close attention to the information I give you.


Picture References: o1 and o2. Sorry, I know they're not that great, but I'm sure these will give you a better idea of her appearance.

Full Name: Minaethiel "Reva" Draugolë
Name Meaning: "unique", "renewed strength", "wolf learnedness"
Race: Elven
Occupation: Necromancer; she can only manipulate dead animals/beasts.
Age: 23, but appears to look 17. You know 'em elves.
Height: 5'5" (Approx. 165 CM, I think.)
Bust/Cup Size: B-C; neither big boobed or flat chested. No big boobs, please.
Hair: Black with wine red bangs (around the center/front). Her hair is almost waist length, and it is usually tied into two tails. Not one, but two.
Eyes: Ghostly/Pale Blue; there's a "beauty mark" by the outer corner of her left eye.
Complexion: Fair; neither pale nor dark. No, her skin's not white like in my doodle there -- I didn't feel like coloring her skin.

Zodiac Sign: Scorpio
Personality: Determined, adventurous, bossy, charming, and intuitive. Reva may seem like one of those soft-spoken girls, and tends to be underestimated.

The Drawing
What I'd like to see.


Reva is the only character I'd like you to draw, and soon I'll be adding up a little Couple's Category sooner or later.

Attire: Be creative with this! She originates from a fairly cool/chilly country (Norway), but you may draw her in clothing suitable for any climate. I like to see skin, but nothing overly revealing. Her clothes also should be suitable for traveling, but nothing dull and boring.

*Note* The setting this character will be played in is, as you've guessed, Fantasy. Not necessarily medieval, but nothing too modern, either (like Reva wearing jeans and casual wear you see today).

Acessories: Reva possesses a light pink stone (called a Rosetta Stone) which hangs by a chain around her neck. Additional jewelry is optional.

Facial Expressions: are a bonus. I love to see expressive expressions, and it would be nice if I can see her personality brought out in the drawing.

Hair: Her ponytails are always hanging down (not up, like in a really girly fashion). They may be braided or unbraided; it's up to you.

Background: Another bonus. You may put whatever you like in the background, as long as it relates to Reva. Being a necromancer is a big hint.

Pose: Anything you like. Though I like the whole "designing her clothes" idea, but you may make it a headshot or from the waist up. Reva may be sitting, standing, etc.

Effort: Time and good effort. I'm giving away my most valuable donation item for this.

One question! ^_^ Does she have any sort of weapon? A staff, perhaps?


Answer -- Good question! I should have thought about that.. but basically she uses general weapons, such as a blade or a bow and arrows.

I'm roleplaying a small fighting scene with my partner, and she was able to form her own temporary blade using the bones of animals, which solidified into one solid blade.

Ah, well, feel free to be creative with that! I just might add it to the roleplay. n_n

*Note* Her bones do NOT have to necessarily be bones. And weapons are OPTIONAL! <3
