Welcome to our thread!
News:
July 24th- Inoni realizes she's lazy! xD New artwork coming later today, after I visit my dad... >_> I don't get to see him very often, so I don't like blowing him off, especially for a pet thread. (Not that I don't love you guys) Anywhoo, stay tuned!
June 29th- Wooooo!! 50 pages, people! ^_^ Love ya alls... Here's a quicky little picture of the existing Stickmen of this time. (To all those who care: Tomoki is not in the group because she isn't actually a Masterpiece, or even a stickman. Her owner never roleplayed, and I just really liked drawing the character of Tomoki. That's all... Aww, poor Tomoki has been shunned...)
June 26th- New stage previews! I've used Tomoki cause I like her better than Bob. Anywho, now we have a masterpiece preview! XD Isn't she lovely?

Story:
Once upon a time, in a faraway little place, there lived a girl named Inoni. She loved to draw, even from the day she was born. She wasn't always fantastic, but she poured her heart and soul into every creation she made. And when such a young artist was that passionate, something magical was bound to happen.
Her oldest artwork was just random lines on paper. Crayon creations, made with no skill or technique. But she loved those drawings, and they... Came to life.
It was only a matter of time before she began to draw finer things. They were just simple drawings of objects, and she never colored in the lines. Pencil crayon works of art, hardly worth anything. But she loved those older drawings, and when they begged to be redrawn, she dug out an eraser and tried again.
And in a few years, she became even better. She tried to color in the lines, and she started drawing people. Little stick figures, with no hands. But she loved her older drawings, and they hardly even had to ask before they were all erased and redrawn.
Soon the girl was a master. She drew fabulous works of art. Fabulous paintings, with elborate detail and fascinating subjects. One day, the little girl (now a woman) was digging through some old files, and she found the little stick figures. The begged, and she found her nostalgic self caving. So she erased each and every one, and redrew them as amazing new creations. Then, they all lived happily ever after as real human beings.
Stages

Stage One: Doodle
The doodle is just a few random lines scribbled on a piece of paper. They can't talk, but they can make sounds and convey emotions by increasing or descreasing the scribble-ness of their lines. (Smooth, straight lines could be tiredness, and very wavy, crazy lines could be angry or hyperness)

Stage Two: Creature
Depending on how they looked and acted as a doodle, they will evolve into a little creature. The coloring may not be in the lines, but they can start talking and making friends with other pets. They convey emotions through their facial expressions, just like we do, and rarely alter their looks. If they are a weapon, like sweet little Tomoki here, it would look pretty weird as a creature. Plants and animals don't look weird with eyes... So, weapons turn into a little sprite, and get to keep their weapon for further usage!

Stage Three: Stickman
Now, your pet has become a humanoid stick figure. They can talk perfectly, have relationships, and walk, run, or play. As far as evolution goes, this can be their last stage, and they can do anything a pet can do. (Breed, etc) Your little baby is all grown up! ^_^ Aww... Well, all grown up, that is, unless they go on to the masterpice stage...

Stage Four: Masterpiece
This is a "hidden" stage. Only the best-taken care of pets can reach this stage. They become fully humanoid: complete with hands! (Unlike the stick figures... Lol XD) Mauha! And no, this isn't my best "MasterPiece" quality art. People were complaining about the lack of masterpiece preview... Expect something better than this for your own pet! (Ya gotta pay to see the good stuff, dude!)
Breeding and Relationships
Once your pet reaches the stickman stage, it can start to have meaningful relationships. (Aka- more than "just friends" wink If your stick figure has fallen in love and believes them to be "the one", they must get married. The wedding will cost varying amounts of money, depending on what type of ring, clothes, and cake you get. Once they are married, they can have a set amount of kids, based on how much you spent on the wedding!
The children can be raised by either parents, both parents, or they can be sold or auctioned off. (How cruel!) Children have slightly different stages than the adults. But, more on that later.
Alright: There are three kinds each of rings, clothes, cakes and ceremonies:
-You need rings: You can have the gumball rings (25 for two), the shiny rings (100g for two), or the diamond rings (200g for two).
-You need a suit and a gown: For suits, you can get a T-shirt (25g), a shirt and jacket (100g), or a tuxedo (200g). For gowns, you can get a sundress (25g), a simple wedding dress (100g), or a princess dress (200g).
-You need a cake: You can get the cupcakes (25g), the basic wedding cake (100g), or the three-tier-cake (200 gold).
-You need a ceremony: These are free. Basically, you just need to roleplay. While the rings, clothes, and cake determine how many (if any) kids your scribbles can have, the ceremony determines what sort of stages and teh quality of art the children will have. Invite your scribble-friends, and have a big wedding party! ^_^ Remember to choose a song for the first dance!

As for relationships, they are highly encouraged. Interactions between your scribble and other scribbles can help it grow better. Not faster: Better. In the first post of your journal, you'll have all sorts of number and figures. If a scribble is unhappy while it is growing, it is doubtful they will ever become a masterpiece. A scribble that is un happy more than often may even be taken away. However, unhappy can be an occasional natural part of life. Just because your scribble has a fight with a friend and frowns once, doesn't mean it will get taken away... The fact that it had a friend at all counts more than anything!
Roleplay
Scribbles will not grow unless roleplayed. They are roleplayed through journals, or occasionally here in the thread. A real roleplay thread might be added later, if I find it nessesary/fun.
In average, it only take a few (2-5) posts for a doodle to become a creature. Usually, the exact number depends on how well you develope the doodle's surroundings, lifestyle, and emotions.
Once a creature, it will take between 5 and 8 posts for it to become a stickman. Those posts should be filled with lots of developement of the creature's personality and habits. Also, these posts can be used to create budding friendships that will last them their whole life. A carrot with friends is happier than a carrot without! (In reference to Bob, the carrot scribble. He was our old sample dude)
Then, after you have made a sufficient amount of posts, it will become a full grown stickman! These can have pets, friends, and lovers! They are capable of advanced emotions, and can learn many new things. They are fully functioning adults. Remember to keep these things in mind, and keep posting regularly in their journals. Before you know it, you'll have a masterpiece on your hands!
Roleplay is not REQUIRED, but roleplay is the ONLY factor that makes your pet grow. In other words: No roleplay, no growing. If your pet is recieving an obvious lack of attention, or you roleplay poorly, it may be taken away from you. Even little scribbles need a lot of love and attention in order to be happy!
