When the smoke of the explosion clears, Eldrich and Anur stand entirely unaffected. Eldrich had projected a shield of light energy that could not have been penetrated by the explosion. "You obviously did not take the time to study your opponents or you would know that I posses the ability to use magic." He said, not qualifying it as anything to reveal that he was of Celestial lineage.

Eldrich felt that now was the time to stop her. He could not let her strike down an opponent that had admitted defeat. He shot an arrow of pure light magic that shot just past her head, barely managing to miss, even taking a few hairs with it. "THAT'S ENOUGH!" Eldrich shouted. "He admitted defeat, do not kill someone who is unready or unwilling to fight!"

Then, reluctantly, she sheathed her swords. "You're lucky Eldrich was here, Elf," she said. "You better be grateful."

"Why would vamps pay someone to kill something when they could just make fledglings to attack us? Or better yet, turn you into a vampire so you obey all of their commands and retain you fighting abilities." Eldrich said, questioning the holes in logic.
