Okay, I'm updating this a bit. Due to the new guild system ( stare ), I have to change the rules a bit...I have no more say in editing or deleting posts, and the new "move this thread" option is still a mystery to me.
UPDATE-Because I was an idiot and thought that this would be permanent, I'm going to let everyone know that I do have mod powers...and stuff. sweatdrop
All Member and Mod rules:
- OBEY THE GAIA TOS.
No spamming, cybering, bumping. Do that in the appropriate places, which is not here.
No flaming please. Fights will not be tolerated in the guild.
No offending anyone. Don't insult someone because of age, race, gender, sexuality etc. We'll ban you if you dare to insult anyone.
No help threads. Mods will make those. And no posting in them if they're still in the works. If you would like to make one, PM myself and tell me which you'd like to make. We'll allow it, so long as it's neatly done and in a few posts. 3nodding
No repeat threads. If you want to make a thread but don't know if it's already made, please PM me and I will tell you, and provide you with a link if I need.
No begging to become a mod. I don't like that. We'll ask for mods when we need them.
No talking like "wut r u doin" or "bcuz i 4got". This includes ALL forms of chatspeak (things like u/ur instead of you/your, or r instead of are, things like that...) Use proper English and Punctuation please, and spell out words completely (if you don't know how to spell the word correctly we understand). We will tolerate simple spelling errors and the occasional g2g's, brb's and lol's. Just don't make a habit of it.
No oversized sigs. I hate having to scroll across the page when it's too wide to read stuff. Keep sigs within the 500x500 pixel length and 100kb limit.
Don't just join the guild to add more to your guildlist. If we see you're not active we'll PM you why and remind you that you belong to us. Either that or we'll go through and ban all members who have not posted. You can PM me or another of us mods if you were having trouble and couldn't get around.
No making Event, Lottery, ID card or advertisement threads. Mods will handle those. Unless you have permission, you may not make these.
No asking me if you can make a walkthrough thread. I've already got all of them (except a few that I will get), and me and the mods take care of them. If you're annoyed that we're not getting them done, well then just be patient. stare
NO bashing newbs. I've been noticing a lot of this coming from certain members. If someone has trouble spelling, just politely correct them, don't yell at them saying they're illiterate and that they shouldn't be here. I'd rather us teach literacy than discourage those who would like to be here but can't all because of some stupid writing techniques. As I said before we will not tolerate chatspeak, but simple writing errors such as "to" instead of "too", or forgetting to capitalize, are looked over unless used excessively.
No acting like you're a mod if you aren't. We will be upset if you go around telling people what to do and such. However, we will be grateful if you notify us through PM that someone's doing something bad so that we may go check it out. Use that method. Don't take charge yourself.
PLEASE read the Notice Board if it's been updated. We don't post in there for you members to ignore it completely.
Mod and Vice Captain rules (I also follow these too):

Do not bash/flame a member. I know it might seem like you really want to just yell at them if they're being annoying, but just remain calm, and state to them what they're doing wrong. If they persist, give them a warning. If they keep persisting continuously, then consult me about it. Don't yell at them or call them names, and even more importantly, DO NOT CUSS THEM OUT.
No kicking out members for no reason. That's major abuse of power.
Lock threads that are repeats or help threads. When locking a thread, please leave a post so that I can know who locked the thread and why it was locked (usually for obvious reasons that I of course should know by looking at it, but don't leave them wondering who locked it and why). You may then move it if you like.
Don't delete random posts. If there's a post I don't like, I'll write something in it in red, and say that you may delete it. Or if it's your thread and it's an information thread that only you are supposed to write in for certain things, go ahead and do so.
Don't edit posts for no reason unless someone is cursing like major or is saying or posting a picture of something uneeded. But don't delete everything they said. Just censor out the word or picture.
Stick to your positions. Some are in charge of roleplays, others help threads, and all that such.
Don't do stuff without my permission, please.
