Today, our first subject was brought it. A young woman by the name, Sarina. It is my understanding that Preston purchased her from a slaver, and she was informed of what will happen to her. I'm quite amazed that she agreed to this. However, whether or not she agreed is of little consequence. She knew about the compound, and either way she would have ended up here.

Her serum is that of the water creatures, Tohan. I can't wait until it is time to give her the next injection, I'm anxious to see the results of my first experiment.

Last week ushered in the arrivals of our next three subjects; Santino Geoffries, Aurora Eveningstar, and Turquoise Martin.

Santino, to my recollection, has been given the Fiaran serum -- Anjelica's choice, I assume. Her obsession with that race is quite fascinating. The boy seems to have an opposition to a typical Fiaran's personality and outlooks, which I assume was the reasoning behind her decision. He believed he was attending a boarding school for gifted musicians.

Aurora, was of my choosing -- Furnah. Land loving, and wise. I've yet to find out if we will have an opportunity to bring her twin sister in- I would be quite interested to see the effect two opposing serums would have among the pair. However her persistence to refuse the gas forced me to take a different approach to sending them to sleep in order to insert the monitoring ship. As expected, it was a success, I have since come to the decision that gas will not be needed, and I will instead order the other technicians to add a coctail of sedatives into the mix.

Lastly, Turquoise Martin. I'm not sure on her full history as of yet, since Alys herself didn't find out the true story. Disappointing, however Turqoise accepted the invitation, and so her former life is of little consequence to me now.

Ahh, and some wonderful news. Sarina has progressed into her first change. It was ahead of schedule; however timing is not necessarily of the essence. I waiting time between injections is merely to give us time to study each stage and determine the subject's progress. Satino himself, has already exhibited a distaste of the water-- common in Fiaran's, however his mixed feelings towards Sarina are of some concern.

History has only noted two instances in which a Tohan and Fiaran formed a partnership and successfully breeded, however in those days, the two tribes killed off the offspring.

I would like to keep a closer eye on this new progression; I imagine Preston would be interested to keep an eye on it, as well. Since he is her technician.
