Sephiroth_Maxima Fenrir's pupil's shrink from sight as the gleaming light shot out at him. He reared back, but was not fast enough to fully get out of the way, the attack made it's way thorugh fenrir's chest piercing his heart and stops it's life giving beat. Fenrir still with it's last ounce of god given strength, he stared the guy in his eyes and let out an anormous howling blast that would cover the entire hallway, honestly hoping to take the building out, not just the man. With the last attack finished, Fenrir's body was now severed from his soul. And the detransformation occurs, soon enough as the flowing energy fades and glistens as it wanders up to the nighly sky. The figure becomes more human, revealing Sephiroth lying there a hole straight through his heart, a fitting end to a filthy killer. Or was it?
When Daphne woke up she found herself for the second time in that tidy infirmary room, laying in the comfortable bed, silence enshrouding the chamber. This time there was no haze of confusion clouding her mind, she knew exactly where she was and what had happened until that point. The last words she remembered were Audrey's, notifying her of the recent passing away of her so-called brother, a person she came to hate half as much as Legato, and that as a lot for a frail-looking thing like her, knowing that her hatred for Legato knew no boundries, and that now, a part of that creep was growing inside of her and there was no way she could get it out. They tried to convince her that the tiny being forming in her woumb was innocent, but it was hard for her to believe that anything having to do with Legato could be like that... She should be happy that it was nothing but artificial insemination, she was told, but somehow that didn't comfort her at all...
Her thoughts returned to Sephiroth. He wasn't K.K. She had vague memories of her childhood, her real brother would never try to hurt her in any way. NEVER! He was nothing but a tormented soul trapped in a possessed body. She told herself that, nomatter how things would have gone, eventually the result would be the same. He was one of Legato's minions, therefore he was inherintly evil, and he was better off dead, even though she would have been more than pleased to kill him with her own hands, then send him into pieces to that monster. She shouldn't think bad of him anymore, she thought ...Let the dead rest in peace her thoughts spoke.
Pushing her willowy frame off the bed the gazed about the room in search for her outfit. Her head felt heavy as she stood up and took a few steps, but she kept strong thinking it'll be better soon. Picking up her outfit she entered the small bathroom on the left sid of the room and, with slight difficulty she managed to change. When she exited the bathroom and walked out the doorway nobody appeared to stop her but she came to a halt on her own once her eyes met the patient in the room across from hers. Cloud was there, laying silently on his bed, looking in poor shape, with tubes coming in and out of him. She shrugged and walked away, remembering the not-so-friendly last conversation she carried with him... well, more like him doing the talking and keeping her a gunpoint, and her listening and not really giving a damn.
Her golden gazed brushed softly over the guards moving out of the way. They had been informed about her arrival, and were instructed to let the girl see the stiff body of her former brother. A chill traveled down her spine as she advanced further into the morgue, everything starting to move slow motion again. Soon, ahead of her the two guards stood their ground next to the freezer where Seph's body was deposited. Daphne's footsepts echoed loud on the marble floor, louder than she ever rememberes hearing her steps, each thumping sound sending a tiny electric shock to her brain. It hurt, but not enough to keep her away. The DS soldiers opened a door in the morgue refrigerator and pulled out a tray. The body had been zipped up inside a body bag. Without opening the bag, they lifted the body up by the shoulders and feet and placed it on a bare metal gurney then walked out of the room letting her alone in the cold, desolate room. Daphne's long, delicate fingers reached for the zipper and she noticed her hand was tremling. She didn't know why, maybe it was the cold air coming from the left oper refrigerator compartment. She pulled the zipper down in one fluid movement and an arm fell from within, hanging loosely on the side of the gurney, peeking about the room, the fingers stiffened and frosty. Instinctively she took a step back as if she was avoiding the arm to reach and grab her. Her eyes followed upward on the arm, and froze on the corpse's face, his head sligtly turned, his eyes dull and lifeless staring straight at her. A shiver shook her body and she wrapped her arms around her waist as if she was to hug herself. She took a step closer, her eyes descending from the dilated pupils to his chest ... A big hole ripping through ... The skin had been eaten away from that side of the chest, revealing the ribs and sternum. Her fingers approached the lethal wound as if she wanted to touch it and make sure it was real but as soon as she got too close her hand was pulled back abruptly as if she had been burned. She stared at Seph long and hard, the stern expression engraved on her face softening with time. The hatred dissipated gingerly...she was pitying him for the tragic end. Then, unexpectedly she spun on her heels and strode out of the room, leaving the body exposed like that for the soldiers to place back into the refrigerator. As soon as she was out of the chamber the two soldiers made sure to zip the body up in the bag and place it back.
