2007 has got to be one of the worst years to be a wrestling fan. Period. Forget any bad matches or production snafus or tasteless angles, look at THIS:
Bam Bam Bigelow (1961-2007) heart problem/diabeties
Big Cat (1938-2007), natural causes
Mike Awesome (1965-2007), suicide
Arnold Skaaland (1925-2007), dead from natural causes
Bad News Brown (1943-2007), chest problems
Cowboy Lang (???-2007), unknown but dead
Sensational Queen Sherri (1958-2007), unknown causes)
Chris Benoit (1967-2007), suicide after murdering his own wife and son
Jesus christ, the last two are ones NO ONE would have wanted to have seen for a long, long time. Sherri is a legendary manager and Chris? One of, if not the best technical wrestler in the world.
I may not watch wrestling like I did, but reading all this is STILL depressing.
