Weee! Short Stories!
The Story With No Point
"But what am I supposed to do now?" he asked her, his eyes near tears.

"Do what about?" she asked.

"This! I love him but I'm dating her!" he responded, his breath shaky.

"Why are you asking me over the pho-, you know what? Meet me over at Radio Shack in twenty minutes," she replied, and hung up without waiting for answer.

She had a feeling that this was going to be a long twenty minutes as she got on her bike and rode into town.

"Why do they always ask me?" she asked herself aloud as her feet peddled faster and faster, making her seem to fly.

"Why do they ALWAYS ask me?"

~Twenty minutes later...

"Russel, over here!" she said, sitting in the way back of the store, looking at the camera in her hands.

"Thank god! I thought you left!" Russel replied as he hugged her.

"Now, what's your problem about?"

"Well, remember Min? Yeah, well, I don't think I love her anymore..."

"Okay... continue..."

"And remember Ollie? Well, he asked me out, knowing that I was dating Min and I said I would think about and now I don't know what to do! Can you help me?"

"Sit down, I have a story to tell you," she replied.

"Once when I went camping during the summer to the woods I always go with my family, I decided to hike in the woods. You know how I am with directions and so, pretty soon, it was getting dark and I was lost," she said taking a deep breath.

"But that-"

"I'm not done yet. Now shut up," she replied and tried to remember where she was.

"Ah, yes, so using a flashlight that was quickly running out of batterias, I tried to remember when I came from, it was fine for a while until I came across a fork in the road. One lane seemed safe and the other even more inviting."

"So..."

"Looking between the two; I chose the more inviting lane. And well, let's just say that after walking for about a few minutes, I walked my self into a bunch of Poison Oak and then got a fever when I returned. And let me tell you something, all that itching didn't help. They had to tie my hands together to stop scratching my face raw!"

"So... you chose the wrong path then!"

"Did I? I'm here, aren't I?"

"Then what's the point to the story?"

She sighed, standing up, looking at a tripod for the camera.

"There is no point," she replied looking at the price.

"Then why did you tell me?"

"Look, I'm here right? The point is, Russell, is that I chose a path to take. If I didn't, I would probably still be up there, trying to decide which one to take," she told him.

"Oh... thanks! That really helped!" he said and quickly ran off. She shook her head.

The clerk walked over to her and smiled.

"That was a really good story, I enjoyed it."

"Good, that was about the twentieth time today I've told it."
