How I became a vampire...

Well the next day was no better. We headed off sometime in the evening. Kagome still had to wear my traveling shoes, but that was no big deal. We went along through a dence, foul smelling forest. We trudged through god knows what, heading to some village so that Kagome could find some shoes. This all made me want to go back to my village and stay, but we had to keep moving. It felt like someone was following us and I though I'd see something out of the corner of my eye. Obviously Houshi-sama felt as unsure as I was for he was careful as I was. Then like some nightmare, I got hit. I didn't even see the creature coming, it just hit me. I fell backward and I heard Houshi-sama call my name, but I was in such shock I couldn't see anything. Then I felt a small bite on my neck, and burning sensation ran through my body. I t was easily the worse pain I have ever felt in my life. All the air rushed out of my stomach and I couldn't breathe, and the burning didn't dull at all. the creature was biting me! I stabbed it, it hissed and ran off. Inuyasha mumbled something about the creature smelling like Naraku, but I couldn't hear. I was still in shock, all I wanted to do was sleep for some reason. And the burning was so bad I was crying. I slouched on the ground and held my stomach from teh pain. I felt like I was going to kill someone if they came near me, and I was scared by these sudden, raw emotions, though I kept them well hidden.
Kagome finally acknowledged that I was hurt, and decided that we should make camp. I almost grunted in an unsatisfactory way, but held it down as we set up camp. That was two days of traveling gone. scream I was mad, really mad.

After we set up camp, Inuyasha climbed a tree and shouted that he seen the village, so we had to pack up and go. sad Today was not a good day, but I tagged along making no complaints, pretending to be pleased like I always do. Houshi-sama must have guessed I was not okay with all the moving, for he kept shooting me glances. Then I remembered what he said that night about me and him being together, I wondered if he really meant what he said. I blushed knowing that he was looking at me, and he looked away smiling. He soon came towards me. stare I looked at him cautiously, bu he showed no sign of anything but mischief, like always. mrgreen I stared politely back at him. I didn't say anything, nor was I going to. He stride toward me and I just walked on, trying to keep up so Inuyasha wouldn't yell again.

"Sango? Are you okay?" Houshi-sama asked politely.

I nodded and smiled, it seemed to fool him. He walked back over where he was and I felt my heart sink. Why did he do that? Just ask if I'm okay then leave when I answer? I enjoy his company, but lately he seems to be avoiding me. Did I do something? I hope I didn't, because I find it very lonely for him to be mad at me.

We arrived at the village in good time, and they let us stay. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the futon...

The next morning everyone was ready to go, but I found it odd that when I went into the sun, my skin reacted as if I had burned it. I also found that I had little fangs, and I tried to hide them, but later that evening Houshi-sama grabed my bottom and I yelled at him. Everyone froze, seeing my fangs. I was embarrassed and ran out of the hut the sun burning my flesh as I ran, I took shelter under a tree. 'What's happening to me?' I thought. confused People don't just transform like this overnight. I went back calmed, and collective, I smiled, (without showing teeth of course) and looked at the meal before me. It was some sort of soup, but that's not what hungered me, it was Kagome her finger was bleeding. I could smell it, almost before Inuyasha could. She cut her finger cutting vegetables I guessed. Inuyasha looked at me funny and dropped my stare to the ground.

"Are you going to eat?" Kagome asked me.

"No I'm not hungry." I replied dryly, the smell of her blood filling my nostrils.

Inuyasha slurped my soup within two seconds and got sat for it. I stood up and left before I attacked Kagome. I went and took a bath in the springs near- by. The water calming me. I went under the water and stayed there for a long time, then realizing that oxygen no longer meant anything to me. I could breathe under water. 'Am I dead?' I thought, quite puzzled about what was going on. confused I got up and got dressed, then headed back. I then thought of the creature...I hit me like a ton a bricks it was a chi-youkai. A strange youkai that couldn't live in daylight, couldn't die from old age, and feeds off blood from humans. I think Kagome called it a vampire. So I was a chi-youkai. I realized that I had to leave. I ran into the the hut grabbed my belongings and started to run, but I heard a voice.

"Sango-chan?" Houshi-sama asked.

"Y-yes?" I asked hesitantly, stopping so he could catch up.

"What's wrong?" He asked standing in front of me.

"Nothing." I answered, holing down the urge to bite him.

"Then where are you going and why at this hour?" He pressed.

"Because I'm a monster." I replied, hanging my head down.

"What?!" Houshi-sama snapped, "Never could you be a monster Sango-chan."

" But it's true." I said, "I was bit by a Chi-youkai. I am one of them."

eek "I-I...You can't leave!" He said.

" I'm putting you all in danger." I replied, almost crying.

" Well then I'm coming with you." He sighed.

eek "What?" I asked, shocked.

" I'm coming with you." He repeated.

" I could hurt you!" I cried.

"So? I really meant what I said. I love you Sango-chan." he replied.

"I-I...You can't! I don't want to hurt you." I said. cry

"I'm coming and that's final." he said flatly.

"Fine." I pouted, realizing that I had lost, "But if you get hurt, don't say I didn't warn you."
