She screamed, this time her voice actually working, as the mysterious man covered her mouth and thrust a long pointy needle into her neck. Pain was all that the child remembered.
Pain, and the silver suit.
She jerked up in terror, as the nightmare occurred again, quite honestly near tears. Light streamed in from the cell, the one a girl had been living in for the past 6 years. The girl had mysteriously appeared to the other cellmates, and at first only knew of her age. She kept repeating it, and glancing over to the brand upon the underside of her arm. The girl herself and the other cellmates knew nothing at all about her, only that she too had been, just as they had been, brainwashed. They felt no pity for her, none at all, and it was normal. It was a fight for oneself in this place, name unknown.
Her eyes opened weakly, the poor girl very frail and delicate. Her clothes were similar to all the other children in the cells. Bare silver suits, up to the neck, all sleeveless. The girls had dresses that went down to their knee’s, very slim fit. The boys had tight pants and somewhat loose shirts that were, just as the girls, sleeveless, silver, and up to the neck. This girl was different however, in her clothes. Right between her breasts was a slim cut in a diamond shape, which revealed her bare skin. Embedded into her skin was a diamond itself, sparkly , but very different from a diamond in its own ways. The jewel changed with her personality, red becoming anger, purple becoming sorrow, blue simply calamity, and yellow, cheer.
Which was very rare to see.
This child rarely had any other color than purple and blue glimmering in the little light she could see. It was 7th night in a row that the same nightmare had been haunting her. She shook her head, trying to become more awake.
She stretched her legs out and yawned, tired with exhaustion. Suddenly, the girl jumped as a tough nudge ribbed her head.
“Thaiiiiiyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~!” She glanced over to her friend, the only one actually nice to her. Thaiya nodded, and smiled bluntly. “If you don’t hurry up and stop sleeping in, you just might sleep away the day and miss working duty!” “S-Sorry…Kalilus…” “No Problemo! Say, let’s get hurry up and get there and hope to get a headstart so that we’ll finish first by the time Lord Alis passes by for his daily meeting! Maybe he’ll notice us!” Thaiya’s eyes eased, along with her shoulder. Work. That was all the children ever did. Work and get taken away. “Sounds good to me,” She added, trying to speak in a joyful tone as her friend, but failed. As the two stood, they both stretched, and walked over to the Guard of their cell. Thaiya looked at Kalilus, and Kalilus looked at Thaiya.
“I don’t want to ask him. You should, since I came up with the idea.”
Thaiya grimaced, but knocked on the hard wood anyhow. The guard opened the metal slot, and poked his heard through.
In the deepest voice Thaiya had ever heard, he asked solemly, “What is it?”
Thaiya looked over to Kalilus, but back to the Guard. “We would wish to get to work early, please sir. You can accompany us if you don’t believe that would be our destination.”
“Why wouldn’t I think it’d be your destination? You planning something with your friend there?”
“N-No sir! No, not at all! I wouldn’t dare! No sir, we wish to finish work early before anyone else awakens.”
But it was obvious others were already awake. They’d have to be deaf not to hear the loud commotion the Guard was making. After a long cold glare at Thaiya and Kalilus, he nodded and closed the metal slot. The clink of keys was heard, a medal bar sliding, more keys clicking into key holes, and then finally, the wooden door before Kalilus and Thaiya was opened.
The two bowed respectfully, and began walking as another guard approached them and walked in front of them. The other one resided behind the two 14 year olds.
