Long, long ago, so long infact that I'm surprised that I can remember any of it at all, a great hero emerged to thwart a great evil. But of course I'm getting ahead of myself. What kind of story teller would I be if I told you the Ending without first telling you the Beginning?
Now with any good story worth telling, one should start with the hero. Or heroin in this case. In most stories such as these, the heroin is a beautiful princess with a heart of gold and a desire to help her people. Or the youngest daughter of a poor farmer who's dashingly clever and uncommonly lucky. But unfortunate are we, for this is not the case for the heroin of this particular tale. But we must come back to her later for now I must tell you of the villain and you should be glad to know that he is as a villain should be. Cruel, vicious without mercy or a sense of goodness in his black heart. And I can assure you that his table manners are all but non existent. He was a prince of a long line of prices. His name was Collin de'Sank, and he ruled over a vast kingdom.
Now there is skepticism amongst the scholars debating when the tale really began. Some say it is when deSank came to the throne. Others say it was when She was marked with her destiny. And still more say it was when the forest witch Mar'Wyn found the child. I say it is about the middle, when de'Sank is about to do something particularly naughty.
