Well, we’re still here.
Mesa Verde was really interesting, though we had to get up so early we were all exhausted. We took a tour of Cliff Palace, which is REALLY awesome. It’s hard to imagine living there.
Someday, I’m going to design a house like that.
We drove for a long time along this really twisty road before we got to the visitor center, where I bought BOOKS!!! All of them were set in Mesa Verde or the surrounding area, and they look interesting.
We saw wild horses on the drive.
It was kind of disappointing for Mom, because she really wanted to climb around in the dwellings. She used to want to be an archeologist, so stuff like this makes her excited. It was cool, ‘cause she could explain a lot of the stuff we saw.
Patrick almost fell off a cliff. I fell asleep when we went through a tunnel. Tyler burned the back of his neck, because he forgot to put sunscreen there. And yet, he put some on his armpits. Strange.
Well anyway, we’re having steaks tonight, because Mom keeps promising the boys she’ll make them and then forgetting.
And I was surprised at how much I missed that hour of Country Music from the bus ride every afternoon. Luckily, there’s a site I can listen to the radio from.
So that's the news from the mountains today.
