Boring Stuff I Think and Feel
The title pretty much says it all.
Hayward, MN
Well, the internet hasn't been great for the last few days, so here're all the journals.

We went white water rafting today! It was awesome! There were only about five rapids, but one was big. It was called a class three rapid, but I’m not sure what that means. Anyway, it was fun.

We were in a big ten person raft, but it had thirteen people in it. Tyler and Dad rode in a kayak. We all ended up getting soaked! Particularly because we sort of…had a water fight with the other rafts….

Nobody fell out in our raft, but one kid jumped out of another. Then he jumped right back in. The Colorado river was colder than he thought!

Anyway, I didn’t take any pictures, but someday we’ll all have to go together, because it was seriously fun.

A few days later (sorry, can’t keep track of time)

We’re in South Dakota now! The campground we’re staying at can hardly even be called that. It has a bunch of cabins, a restaurant, two pools, a water slide, a water park, and two horse stables.

The stables were really cool, because the horses just poked their heads out of their stalls if they wanted to be petted, or stayed back if they didn’t, so we could just go up and down talking to the horses and petting them.

And the pool! It was warmer than the air! Kind of annoying, actually, because it wasn’t exactly cold to begin with, but we played monkey in the middle with a floating ball until Patrick almost drowned in the deep end.

The waterslide was Mom’s favorite part, and it was pretty cool. Cold, though.

Tyler liked the jumping pillow, and it was awesome! But if too many people were on at one time you sort of…lost control. Then you weren’t going however high you wanted to go, you were going however high the others were sending you. That was fun too, but a bit scary.

And then we went to Mt. Rushmore, and saw all the flags, one for each state. Don’t worry. Che, I took a picture of the one from Utah. xD

We hiked around for a while, and saw where National Treasure 2 was filmed. (I still can’t get over how close our class was to being in that. If they’d chosen a different take of the duck scene, we’d be in the background!)

Then we stayed for the movie and the lights show. The movie was awesome, but it made me want to go join the army. I don’t want to join the army. The lights show was actually just illuminating the monument, which was pretty, but we were expecting fireworks.

The next day

So anyway, we have now spent a very long time driving (550 miles!), but we saw the Corn Palace. It wasn’t actually made out of corn, you know. But it was covered in corn, and we saw a few pigeons eating the walls.

Well, we’re nearing the end of our trip, so see you all soon.

I've got pictures from Mt. Rushmore, but it's late and we just got to the campground and i can't find the cord for my camera so I'll post them when I can.
