"Professor, come over here." Jason called out to the one who had brought him on this expedition. They weren't sure exactly what they were going to find, but wanted to make the discovery of a lifetime.
Professor Wolfrom walked over to his colleague. Before him, stood a large set of ruins. Various buildings and pillars were half buried by sand or destroyed by the cruel hands of time. "By the looks of it, this must have been older than any civilization to date. This is the discovery we've been waiting for!" He examined the structures carefully, trying to identify their origin.
Behind him, Jason was still looking around, amazed at what they had found. "Something great must have been here." He said, smiling to himself.
"Something great is still here." A deep voice sounded from above. Both of them looked up to find the source of the voice. Atop the only pillar left standing was a man. His clothing was very peculiar. It shared similarities with modern clothing, but was not of this day and age. His hair was a bright shade of green and fell a bit above his shoulders.
Jason and Professor Wolfrom both stuttered slightly, unable to understand why this man was here. Damien stood up, his cloths blowing lightly in the breeze. His right sleeve, however, made no movement due to the rather large shackle on his wrist. No chain was attach to the place it should, and no chains were with in sight. It made no sense for him to have it on. He opened his large, green eyes, still not facing the two men. He cringed slightly as a pair of large, green bat wings unfolded from his back and stretched out.
"What the!?" Jason shouted at the sight unveiling itself before him. As if in response to Jason's words, Damien turned to face them for the first time. His wings seemed to stretch a little farther. His arms stretched out as well to join them. His eyes glowed an odd green. Then, a wave moved out from his body, passing through both Jason and Professor Wolfrom. The moment it touched them, they passed out.
