The setting sun bathed the land in golden light. Every leaf in the area were shades of red and orange. Each tree sporting a multitude of beautiful bright red blossoms. Birds sang happily from within the confindes of the trees. A woman walked through the forest slowly. A red kimono decorated with the blossoms covered her body. Her sliky white hands carressed the blossoms of a nearby tree as she passed. She drew her hand away from the blossom to push a lock of long brown hair from her face. Tears made her hazel eyes sparkle.
She made her way to a large rock in the middle of a clearing. She seated herself upon it, straightening her kimono as she sat. She thought back to the times she had spent in the clearing. A fresh turrent of hot tears forced their way out, despite her attempts to hold it back. The thin streams met at the corners of her mouth. She brushed them away without thinking.
Reaching into her kimono, she withdrew a kunai knife. The blade of the kunai was inlaid with an intricit design. She tried once more to hold them, but just as before, the tears flowed freely from her eyes. The drops of crystal fell onto the knife, working their way into the design.
Sighing with great pain, she slowly brought the knife up. Pressing it against her pale skin, her hand shaking the entire time. With one last sigh she drew the blade across her throat. Blood flowed like her tears onto her kimono. The stains could only be seen on the fire blossoms it bore. She fell limply backwards across the rock. The knife slid from her hand it its' will to hold on. Her hair cascaded behind her and down the rock. Her eyes, cold and lifeless, stared out at the trees around her.
The sun had finaly set, casting shadows across the forest. A chilling wind blew through, taking with it a fleet of fire blossoms. They hit her dead body with the smallest of noises. Almost nothing could be heard over the sounds of the wind passing through the trees. The birds ceased their songs, joining in on the moment of silience that seemed to wash over the land. The forest it self, seemed to be in mourning.
