She closed her eyes and cried as the rain feel on her head, soaking her to the bone. 12 days straight rain, and it didnt seem to let up at all. The gods cried with her she reasoned.
As she sobbed, her body was jolted from her forced breaths. She was gasping for air, as if there was none left for her. She eventually calmed, out of breath. It was pointless, the rain washed them away anyways.
The grey skys and dreary street moaned in mourning. Everyone was depressed because of the rain.
But she was like this all the time. Ragged grey cloth, turning inot a skirt was sticking to her legs, and the black shirt, that was fraying and torn, was turning lighter because of age. The grey strip of cloth she used at a head band came undone and fell into her lap.
She curled herself close to the wall of the deserted part of the city, with short strands of pink hair falling over her sea foam green eyes. If she wasnt so alone, some said, she would be beautiful.
Willing the wall to comsume her, she quitly sobbed in the rain. Curling her hands into fists she bet the road till they bled, and she cried till there were no more tears to cry, nothing left to cry for, and till the sun came out and graced the cheery village on its 27 day.
And when people come out of there homes, and sang with happiness, it was then when someone found her. Sighing in remorse and holding her in there arms, they shook there heads.
"It looks like the rain drowned her..."
"Yeah...a shame. Cheery blossems are the most beautiful of them all."
