Discovering Arcangel
A Long Awaited Meeting
He was well groomed with manicured nails and his jet, black hair tied neatly into a ponytail, which followed down the back of his pressed, navy blue business suit that he wore with a crimson red tie. I could tell he was a man of wealth and status because he carried himself with grace, confidence, and poise. His eyes were dark and mysterious, observing the room as he entered.

“Dr. Cress, here is Mr. Sato” the nurse introduced him, exiting the room after.

“Pleased to meet you again Mr. Sato,” Dr. Cress extended his arm to shake Mr. Sato’s hand.

Disregarding his greeting, Mr. Sato turned his attention to me and asked, “So has he taken good care of you?”

“Yes he has,” I replied, wondering why he treated Dr. Cress so coldly.

“Good,” he smiled, turning his attention to Dr. Cress, “well you know I am a very busy man Dr. Cress, what exactly is it that you wanted to talk about so that I may return to my work.”

“Well, actually, I wanted to speak with you Mr. Sato . . . about the incident,” I admitted.

His visage hardened, “well . . . speak.”

Unsure whether to leave the two of us alone, Dr. Cress asked “Well, Miss would you like me to . . .”

“Leave us,” Mr. Sato commanded.

“Not to be rude but I believe I asked the Miss” he remarked, raising the tension between the two of them.

“It is okay Dr. Cress, you may leave,” I answered, nodding my head to let him know that I will be fine.

Dr. Cress left the room, but not before giving Mr. Sato a look of contempt.

Ignoring his stare, Mr. Sato returned his attention to me, “I do not have much time, please continue.”

“Well,” I hesitated, his presence was intimidating and with so many questions on my mind I did not know where to begin.

“Well what?”

“Do I know you? I mean personally? Or do you know me?” I asked, desperately.

For a moment, he sat there gazing into my eyes as if questioning . . . “Not at all” he answered.

“Not even my name?”

“I am sorry but no, I do not.”

My heart dropped, for days I have waited for this moment, hoping that Mr. Sato could help me gain some knowledge of my past, but in the end, he could not.

“But why would you bring me here? And even pay for my medical expenses?” I questioned him.

“It was merely an act of kindness. I found you unconscious in the backwoods of my estate, wearing tattered, worn clothing. I figured that you were homeless and could not possibly pay for care in a hospital, so I decided to pay for you,” he explained as he prepared to depart.

“I am sorry but I must cut my visit short. I have business to attend to. It was nice meeting you though, Miss . . .?”

“I wish I could tell you . . .” I told him, remaining to hold my name a secret.
