yay! the second of three songs that im going to post! cool I wrote this one when one of my friends told me that we needed a song that talks about the feelings you get when you make a mistake and break up a relationship. So, it may have a different meaning to whoever reads it... and thats kind of what i was going for.


Beyond Broken Gates

It's so cold here.
Theres not much I can do.
All the warmth left me,
when I left you.

I walk this valley,
aimlessly.
As death's gentle kiss
falls down on me.

I'm filled with guilt.
I'm filled with hate.
I'm filled with lonliness.
It's all too much to take.
This emptiness must be my fate,
as I await,
beyond these broken gates.

Can't change myself from the way I used to be.
Is this the monster that lurks inside of me?
Or is it the pain that I've felt for so long,
that only heals with The Reapers' Song.

I'm filled with guilt.
I'm filled with hate.
I'm filled with lonliness.
It's all too much to take.
This emptiness must be my fate,
as I await,
beyond these broken gates.

Empty darkness fills the sky.
And all of time seems to slowly pass me by.
Each day I wait for a glimpse of you,
but its all too dark,
and there's nothing I can do because...
