I Lost You

Where we were together
I wondered if it is true
When we were apart
I couldn't get over you
You were like the twinkle in the brightest star
But even then, you shine brighter than that star
Although we can never be
You are the heart that beats within me
The one you break and mend
Over and over and over again
I'll give you a thousand chances
But you won't give me any more
And you will never return
