CHAPTER ONE: RISING CONTROVERSIES.
Makku had just finished picking out her clothes for school tomorrow. She sighed sadly. " Dammit!!! Why do iI have to go to this place? It would be just like last time. . . I wish I could just be home-schooled! There will be those stupid preps. God, I hate them!!! They make such rude comments torwards me, just because I'm overly pale. . .I'd like just once to knock one of them in the face. Oh, but wait! This is a new school!!! Maybe there won't be any mean preppy people!!! HA!!! Yah right!!!" Makku thought as she opened the door to her room and went down to the kitchen. Makku entered the kitchen, and saw Blaize. She paused for a second, just long enough to say a very quiet hello. Then she went to the refridgerator and grabbed out a bottle of water. She took a sip, then sat at the table. " Makku. . .are you ready for school tomorrow? I know you don't want to go, but can't you at least bear with it for a while? Try to make friends. . .dont be so quiet. Do you want me to be there after school? I mean, we'll probably see each other randomly in the halls, but we can meet after school, too." Blaize said soothingly. " Maybe this is why I love my brother. He's so. . .nice to me. I don't understand it though. . .aren't brothers and sisters supposed to be enemies?" Makku thought as she nodded her head in agreement to what Blaize said. She got up, and left the room, heading for her own. She closed the door behind her, and turned off the light. She made her way to her bed in the pitch-black darkness, and got in it, drifting off into an uncomfortable sleep minutes later.
