From bad, to worse. Well, as I mentioned in my comments on the last entry... my brother went AWOL. Which for those who dont know, is Absent WithOut Leave. He was gone for a couple of hours before being caught. He also claimed to the instructors that he was going to kill himself. As of Sunday, I got the following letter: Shawn Sunday Hey Craig, I gotta ask you the biggest favor please make sure the day you get this letter mom + dad will get thiers. The favor is making sure mom does what I asked her to in the letter, which was the day you guys get these letters which should arrive thursday or friday I NEED her to call the Red Cross or emergency number I sent her and tell them theres a family emergency and I need to come home immediatly. PLEASE make sure mom calls by Fri after noon b/c im getting recycled back to day zero sat morning so dont ask questions just make sure she does it I need to come hoe for a day or two because I'm feeling suicidal. OK thats the only thing I ask you to do so please do it. Love, Shawn Basically, he is asking me to lie for him so he can come home and go AWOL again and not go back. Or, he will kill himself. This was an awesome letter to get in the middle of a work day, when I cant do st. So, I guess I dont have a choice. Theres only one thing I can do: Lets hope he doesnt have any sharp objects, cause his a is staying there.

	Hm, well, I know it's probably little to no comfort, but you can't be responsible for his actions. He's a grown boy who will make his own choices. heart

	I know Cy. I just worry because he is my brother. Plus, I've been suicideal before. Depression, and general craziness runs in my family (Thanks mom.) so I cant help but think that his threat is real. However, I cant get him out of there. If I do, he goes to jail.Me along with him. I would gladly take that punishment if it meant he would be ok... but I know it will only mess up his life more than it already is.

	Going to jail would cause problems in your own, as well. I'd say a person should also consider how things for them would turn out, but what would I know? The last family crisis I faced was my step-father dying in '03 and my great-grandfather being hospitalized for and eventually dying from....er....can't spell it. Alziemers? sigh If there's one thing I need a cell for, it'd be you. Perhaps those new pictures I took? x3 I'll be speechless if they don't do something.

	Dude seriously, it isn't that stressful, when you write him back tell him how good it feels to finish everything up and how that it just feels like a regular job when he's all done minus having duty. Hope the best for you both and make sure you write him back soon.
