with tears that shouldn't have been there.
All alone in the parking lot,
waiting for him,
even after the music had stopped.
Her long pink dress billowed in the cold wind,
as her mascara slipped down to her chin.
The evening had grown darker,
as the star shinned brighter,
on the parking lot that had stood full.
She could help but wimper pathetically,
he had lied to her,
she was alone and scared.
Hurt and tired.
It was supposed to be her prom night...
She had dressed up,
put on makeup.
She looked amazing,
standing there in the moonlight...
