Her eyes starred in deep concentration at the white ceiling of her bedroom. She had pulled the orange comforter up to her chin and was still shuddering under the three layers of covering. The room was dark, the only light came from the small cracks in the shades. The little white puppy slept soundly beside her as she shuddered wondering if she would ever get to sleep....
She could hear the train in the distance as it did it's job of carrying large heavy object from one place to the next. Street racers interupted the trains with a loud screeching followed by an angry neighbor's yell. The street light that allowed some light to sift into her room suddenly went out leaving her in complete darkness.
She let out a slow sigh that stopped the shuddering for a few minutes. She then preceeded to try to clear her mind so she could actually sleep. She thought about how she so desperatly wanted to help her friend but didn't know how... How she wanted her brother home but she also wanted him to be happy... How she wished she could go back in time and warn her younger self about her father... How she wished she could see what one friend looked like a year ago and have the same feelings he had for her. She also thought about her mother, wondering how many years she had left to make memories with her mom... Also how many years she had left to find the right way to show all the love she had for the woman. She wished she could make all her friends smile in every situation and she wished she could make herself smile in every situation. Her mind went from one subject to the next until it was interupted by a yowling cat down the street and a barking dog.
She sighed and closed her eyes hoping that sleep would come but wan't surprised when it didn't. She opened her eyes again thought about the last thing interupting sleep... Her future. She wanted to see her future so badly she didn't care about what she did now... She wanted to know what to work for... What she could acomplish... She also wanted to know how many kids she would have and who she would marry... Where she would live and what friends she would stay in touch with. She sighed at the thought of how sick her mind was, she wanted to know what was going to happen when she didn't care about this time... Right now. She rolled onto her side and let out a long slow sigh and shuddered again. She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of the suburbia all around her. She slowly fell into sleep and soon, all the thoughts she had consured up slowly began to fade away to be replaced with an unimportant dream she wouldn't remember in the morning.
